Well we still need more rain than that,the rivers & lakes are still at record low levels,even the creeks are really low for this time of year...i hope we get lots of rain,the forests need it too,and so do all those steelhead

Well myself and another member ecmilley,hit sturgeon lake yesterday for some walleye & musky action well after that big storm roller through there saturday night ,and with a cold front well we figured it would be a tough fish....and we were right the walleyes were hitting short and you had to be dead slow,so after trying several area shoals and deep weedlines i ended up with 5 walleyes,all small fish around 1lb...and 2 lost muskies ... one straightend the trebble hook on my crankbait just 10 feet from the boat and the otherone i didnt get to see,ernie also lost nice 35-40inch musky ri9ght at the net,with one hook of the worm harness getting caught in the mesh of the net,and going crazy,snapped the line,so all in all we did pretty well considering the weather that went through the night before....sorry no pics of the walleyes as they all were released and they were small anyway...and well for the muskies well we never got them on board so.....better luck next time...i think now im done with the kawarthas and i will be doing a few trips to quinte,cant wait...oh ya and we were using a bit of everything for those fish we caught with the crankbaits & worm harnesses working the best....cheers

Well i do like big chev,does his roe except....at the very end sprinkle some borax over the eggs so that there is some powder stuck to them....so first you pat them dry.....this works amazing and gives them a great scent...and you can also skip the brown sugar and use the borax,the same way or use the brown sugar and just before the storage of them sprinkle the borax on...this as well will harden the roe too...

Thats so cool. ..i think now you will see alot more big walleye boats with large hp,will switch,as i know all about the tourque on a tiller engine as mine is a tiller too....its the best way to go for imediate engine control and split second changes all the top walleye pros in the states are almost all gone to the tillers in their boatsman that would be so cool to have a 200hp verado tiller with power steering....thanks for sharing that great news from mercury....cheers

Well hopefully the bowfin lived as they are a very hardy fish....but if the rope was doing damage to hil gills he might not make it.....but yes that kind of crap gives us fishermen a bad rap,and we should be thankfull that its only a few who ruin it....well he can be charged for that even if its a course fish,they can still lay charges its too bad you couldnt have followed him and called the MNR...and they could arrest them....

OH,,,,MAN !!!!!! wow i wish i would have waited to buy my new graph...i bought a new lowrance 339/IGPS/dumb ass last fall for $999.99 at bass pro it was the cheapest that i could find for that unit as its one of the best,man that unit at cabelas is an amazing deal,specially when our dollar is going for par....it almost makes me want to buy one and put it away for a few years down the road....thats about how long i keep them as im always upgrading for newer hi-tek units,but it will have to wait...man what a gre deal.....thanmks for sharing that lew....cheers

Well i was told to that all the dock space was sold out....well it doesnt bother me that much as it takes my only a few mins to get the boat out of the water anyway its just a bit of a pain....but if the weather really gets windy,i dont want my boat bashing off those docks so what do you do right !!!!! well gerritt there is the sportsman motel and itas only a 2 min walk from merlands,i stayed their last year and it was 60 bucks for a room....i hope you get things worked out bud shawn

Man you are verylucky !!!!! i think they said e-bay there was a bidding war and ended up being 8 thousand bucks for 2 tickets......and yes they say the band led zepplica is a very close band to the real boys....there are comming to oshawa as well in a couple of weeks.....man i hope you enjoy that concert....ITS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT......cheers
