  1. Thanks again all. The advice should get the boat in the water one way or another. Looks like rain for monday, oh well, that is why I bought the topset... Thanks guys, keep your lines wet!
  2. thanks guys, parking could be dicey as I am leaving from Cambridge in the morning... Should be as busy on a monday should it. Also, looks like the bite is starting up a little. I was there 2 weeks ago...marked all kinds, didn't catch much. any input?
  3. Hey guys, Gonna take the day off and head for quinte on Monday. Usually when we have come up, we turn it into 2 or 3 days and have stayed at blakewood on the south shore of Hay Bay. Coming from the west, not exactly sure where to launch the boat. I am sure if I exit on #49 head south to Picton I will find one in town. DOes anyone have some info they could share...location, cost, good ramp etc? Planning on trolling or jigging around Thompsons and Shermans point as well as near the ferry. Thanks in advance.
  4. hey hawg hunter, which weed beds are you talking about?
  5. Thanks Bill, we will be staying on the south shore roughly in the middle of the main lake...is that close to the kids camp?
  6. Hey Guys, Heading out to fish with my brother in law this weekend, they have rented a cottage on Lake Manitouwabing. I haven't been on that lake before. Has anyone fished it before? Any comments / suggestions for the lake...anything, i mean anything will help. Lures, good species to target, of course hot spots...yeah yeah...I know... Any help would be appreciated. I am only up for a couple days, if I can minimize the surveying time it would help.
  7. Thanks Guys, made it out today....the water was big, the fish weren't...caught close to 20 dinks just south of EC10, just couldn't seem to find any hens. Besides the water test this was the maiden voyage for the new boat. As far as introducing myself, not sure what you want to know...I like to fish, I will fish anywhere for anything that swims, although I mainly target, pickeral, pike & bass. Just picked up my new boat last week, G3-V165F c/w Yamaha F-90. My inlaws just retired in port rowan, so I will likely be spending a lot of time in and around LPB. I am not looking for anyones honey holes, but some help with general hot spots would be appreciated.
  8. Anyone have any suggestions? Perch or Pike...first time down there with the new boat...Only been there with a friend once. I here EC 10 is usually good for Perch or Bass....any good spots for Pike? Has anyone heard if the perch are in?
