  1. I am in for a Corporate donation. Ipod or something of that nature.
  2. Hey all, Just wanted to share yet another fantastic outing to the BOQ. Went out on Sunday (I know the report is a little late) and fished the entire day. We got there at 6am and ended at 5pm. I manged to land 10 fish, snapped 2 off and lost at least another 10. 6 were in the 4-5lb range and the other 4 were in the 1-2lb range. One of the fish that I snapped off must of been a monster!! I couldn't even get it off of the bottom and I was using power pro braided line. We were fishing in 29 FOW using chartreuse and silver pimples tipped with 2 muddlers. The action was non stop. As I write this, I keep thinking about the feeling when you go to jig your lure and your rod stops dead in your hand. You know you have a monster on then!!! What a feeling!!! Anyway, here is a pic of one of the fish that were in the 4-5lb range. As a note to the light hearted, there were no gaffs used and all fish were released :-)
  3. Very sad news!!! Condolences to friends and the family! GM
  4. Wind gust at Pearson airport was recorded at 135kmh!!! That's pretty strong winds!!!
  5. Good luck on your intereview!!! Ask lots of questions!!!
  6. I am hearing that the bite seems to last longer in V Beach?
  7. Hi there, I have had a lot of success for walleye with the following: 1) Swedish Pimple (Yellow/Neon Green) 2) Salmo Chubby Darter (All colors) 3) Rapala Vertical Jig (large/skinny) 4) Jig-A-Whopper (Neon Green/Yellow) *** Numbers 1 & 4 are tipped with 2 minnows*** You may ask why... On most occasions, in my experiences; the walleye tend not to be very agressive. In saying that they will inhale your minnow with out even feeling it or you may feel a slight tap. So, in the event that they steal one of your minnows, you can keep the lure down there in the strike zone in an attempt to get him to strike again.
  8. Thanks for the report!!! Glad to see there was non-stop action!!!
  9. Very nice fish there!!! Welcome to the board as well.
  10. Thanks so much gang... I am off to CTC shortly.
  11. Hey Guys, Quick question..... I bought an auger last week from CTC for regular price and this week they have gone on sale. Do you think if I bring in the receipt that they will give me the difference in price? I know there are certain clothing outlets that will do that but I am not sure about CTC. It would be roughly $30.00 difference. Thanks in advance. G
  12. Welcome to the board and keep those reports coming!!!! Nice pics BTW
  13. Awsome Jumbo man!!! Well done... Congrats on the PB.
  14. Hey Cliff, I have been closely monitoring the waether reports and I don' think this warm weather will have that great of an impact on ice conditions. By the looks of it, we are not even going to hit double digit temps as originally forecasted and it will not be a sustained temperature. I am sure we will lose some ice, but not enough to stay off the ice. In saying that, as you are well aware, take every precaution when heading out. GOOD LUCK!!!!
  15. Great report and nice pics as well!!!!
  16. Hey Bill, PLEASE.... Buy a Vexilar or Marcum Flasher instead!!! They are much more rewarding... Of course this is my opinion.
  17. That's an awesome report!!! I love to see the lads on the ice with you.. What's even better is that you had no idea what you were getting in to and BANG... 50 Jumbos!!! Ca't get much better than that for a spur of the moment trip!!! Well done!!!
  18. In my opinion.... Give it your best shot and be gentle... If it doesn't work, buy a Vexilar and dedicate the purchase to your "2009" Toy collection. :-)
  19. Hey Muddy, Check out carraoutdoors.com . He posts reports daily and should be able to give you a definative answer as to whether or not the ice is safe. If it doesn't mention your specific spot on the report; give him a call. Please, do not go out there without consulting the locals. The ice has been very tempremental lately. Good luck!!!
  20. That is absolutely terrible!!! My condolences to the families...
  21. It is absolutely freezing out there. I went to the local Starbucks across the street from my office and they had welcomed a homeless man into the store so he could stay warm. I thought it was a very nice gesture! Regardless of how they ended up homeless; you really have to feel sorry for them, especially on these bitter cold days.
