many of the cottagers and residents regularly drop their boats in stormy for the day and there are not many that have a 9.9 or less on the back. If there was something pushing for this it was probably the canoe and kayak owners that use the waters. Funny i think there is enough lakes in the province that have no motorboats restrictions already, but i cant think of many that have canoe or kayak restrictions. I have never seen a sign or heard about anything like that and i have been spending summers there for 30 years in the park and know many of the area cottagers and residents.

i dont buy top of the line gear.....i have a couple stradics that are over 20 years old that both still work great. I have them on berkley lightning rods that are the same vintage. I recently have bought 2 stradics fjs 2500 and a saros 3000 and have them on a clarus, compre and hmx fenwick. All 3 reels I bought on clearance for 50 percent off and all the rods were also on sale at about the 40 percent off range. Not top of the line gear but rather good quality midpack gear i got for the price of much cheaper gear. I know this should serve well for the next 20 years and I did not break the bank. There is lots of great deals out there you just have to spend some time searching.

no sign at ramp and there was at least 30 boats on water with anywhere from 25 hp to 150 on stormy and clear at anytime this past week.Plus there is a lot of private cottages on clear and a few on stormy which are not in the park .
-
hey guys just back from restoule yesterday....there is no outboard restrictions on stormy or clear....I have a 70 . i and all the other boats with much larger outboards would have been breaking the law...lol...i have been fishing there for 30 years....yes there is a ramp and dock at stormy....a very good ramp and dock p.s. the musky fishing right now is very hot

we bought one that was 1.5 years old at the time with 20ks on it. Owned it for 6 years. It was a piece of junk, constant wheel bearing replacement, ball joints ,abs light always coming on,the seats got stained by water and always looked dirty has some electrical glitches, when we got rid of it it was having some tranny issues 170ks.....the only good thing was it pulled the boat well. Prevousily we owned a montana van(not the sv6) it was a much nicer vehicle. Now my wife drives a ford freestar van and has for 6 years and loves it.

I know it is a short drive for you but forest city surplus in london has some descent wetskins rain suits for about 150 bucks,,,,,i have had one for about 20 years looks good and still keeps me dry of course 20 years ago they were about 75 bucks lol....bibs and jacket. also columbia makes some really good rain wear at a descent price.....again there is a wearhouse for columbia in london at the 401 behind the flyin j.....everything is at least 40 percent off retail.....downside is you need a invitation to shop in there but maybe a member on here from london could hook you up as they hand them out regularly to area workplaces

i love reading these stories....and i am glad they print their names and hometowns....why people have to be so greedy and totally abuse the rules makes you wonder what other laws they break in general. Also agree they needs to be tougher penalities....hope they lost all their gear and boat. I have been out on erie 3 times this summer have caught about 25 eyes and have brought home 1 deeply hooked one. Then you here these stories pisses you off.

foodland has a great deal on until the 10th. For 19.99 you get 4 store made subs,a choice of macroni, potatoe or coleslaw salad,350 gram package of store baked cookies,a family size store brand bag of chips, and either a 4L bottle of water or 2L bottle of pop and then a day pass for any provincial park. Great deal for a lunch and use the pass until October. I used one it covered lunch for the day for the family and then paid for the ramp fees i used inside a provincial park.

Cell Reception at Restoule PP (nf)
bow slayer replied to Acountdeleted's topic in General Discussion
Bell has good reception almost anywhere in the park.....Rodgers put up a new tower last year and now u can get Rodgers service in most areas. Closer to the lake the better.....if u have a waterfront site u will be good....u should have no problem at the dog beach area. -
I was hoping one of them was going to throw him over the railing...........so sick and tired of people trying to impose their agenda on others.
