To much weight on the stern. Take the 9.9 off and see what happens. If it rides better look for a lighter main motor. Very unsafe to ride like that. If emergency power down you may have the wake come right on in. Regards

What do you guys think of the Frog Toggs or Toadz? Bought the Toadz last year and it keeps me very comfortable.

Wow, all these replies. Do we not have one car insurance agent as a member? Cliff for peace of mind speak to your ins. rep. Not as a claim but for general info. Other then that, I agree, they are attempting to scam you. Good luck. Regards

PT plywood is not the answer eh? well maybe just plain 3/4 inch with a sealant coating. we will see in a couple of months. Thanks for the info. Regards
-
I too have a floor to replace in the spring. I have been checking all kinds of sites and have decided to go with pressure treated plywood. It may not last 20 years but for me 5 0r 10 will be fine. Just need to treat any cut edges or holes drilled with a sealant. Think about it decks last how long ?

Good day, Merry Christmas. I have been looking at the C.T. flyer and see they are putting on a Keep A Float suit on sale. My question is, does anyone know just how warm these are? I know my Mustang jacket keeps the wind out and I stay warm, but it is getting to small for me, or me to big for it. So I am looking for a complete suit. Any info would be appreciated. Regards

My friend was recently pulled over on the water by the OPP marine unit. He was told that the bright orange Mustang suit was not regarded as an approved life jacket. I read the label and it says "Approved by the CCG". So my question is, are the float jackets and survival suits a legal life preserver? Any info would be appreciated.

Folks, this cannot be the only place you discuss this. This should be discussed with fellow workers, family and friends. We have to make these people accountable. Me personally, I cannot afford to throw my money away. Or be forced to work to an elderly age because there is no pension left. 67 now !! ( But not for the politicians) Now I am no crusader that you are going to see on the news but you can bet the people I know are going to hear me. And maybe even people I don't know. Regards

How, I mean how does Dalton and Wynne get away with this? OUR DOLLARS !!! Just think what this money could have done for the MNR, Housing, Health Roads Rail !!! If any one in the private sector had done this it would be immediate dismissal, charged and put in jail. I hope everyone has learned who not to vote for. If this get's deleted or locked I will agree with you. Regards

Try this place. Had waterfront last time I was there, and docking. Fishing has S & L bass, walleye, pike and muskie. Sawmill Bay Trailer Park
-
Another item to think about is what type of trailer do you want. Bunks or rollers or a combination. How high off the ground does the trailer have the boat? I have an e-z load where I do not need much water to load and unload. Regards
-
Take a look at StarCraft. Well made, deep V style. Depending on what size you buy, easy to trailer around and handles deep water well.

Hello, If anyone is interested in staying at the Mohawk Bay Trailer Park this summer I have a gift certificate available for $600.00 ... this is for a 1 week stay in a deluxe trailer. Just show up with your food, drink and boat. It's valued at $780.00 and was won at this years Kiwanis walleye tournament for a 6th place finish. Drop me a line at 613-659-3136 (Chuck) or 613-583-2720 (Darren) or email me at [email protected] Thanks

Try looking just a bit further east of Peterborough. 20 klm. You may find the cost a little less. There is a camp on Belmont Lake (Sawmill Bay Trailer Park)and one on Cordova Lake (Cordova Lake Camp Ground). Both offer multi species fishing and have many other lakes close by. Regards

Why not try a train in. Drive to Sudbury then take the train to a lodge. Check out this link. Also you could always check out Science North in Sudbury. http://www.northtoadventure.com/

You could try Silver Lake on HWY 7 east of Marmora. Or Sharbot Lake out that way.

They are right. The Trent is a Washout. Try Wabushene or Honey Harbor instead.

Have fun down there. When I was there I learned that you will be on the windward side of the island, There will allways be waves and seaweed around. So using three way setups will work the best. Try different leed lenghts until you can keep your bait off the bottom. A 10 ft pole will help to keep your bait up off the bottom as well. Righ in front of the pool is a little break wall. Standing on that you could try casting jigs or small spoons. If you rent a car or take a taxi to the other side of the island there is calmer deeper water. About the resort. The bar inside, by the restaurant, ask for frosted mugs for your beer Not to many people know about that. At the pool side restaurant try the jerk pork sandwich if you like spice. On the family side of the resort the waterpark can be a refreshing way to cool down. And , most important, keep your ears open for the bug truck. It is a pickup that sprays insecticide. When you hear it head for the other side of the resort. Try day trips to the Volcano and rum factory. The zip line is a work out as it is based in a valley and you walk up one side and zip down then walk up the other side and zip down over and over again. Fun but a work out. Have a good trip.

I do belive Art is correct. I could have tittled my topic on the Chicago matter in a better way. My intent was to bring to light the issues facing the US engineers and the attitude to the great lakes. First the issues with the carp and now the untreated sewage. I am a firm believer that the barrier to Lake Michigan should be a sealed permant one. If our freinds to the south still find this a tad distasteful, well we are all entitled to our opinions. Regards

January 9, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Water levels on Lake Michigan are the lowest in recorded history. If the level continues to drop, the Chicago River could reverse itself and send untreated sewage into Lake Michigan. "We've been monitoring since 1918 and this is the lowest Lake Michigan and Lake Huron have been," Roy Deda, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, said. "There would be some potential water quality impact to the Great Lakes if we were to continue to lock vessels when the river is higher than the lake." "Our river is 70-percent sewage. I think we need to recognize that. This is an open sewer. It depends upon gravity to go away from us. If that gravity does not work with the lake going down, it goes the other way, and we have done nothing to deal with the contaminants that we need to actually invest in fixing," Henry Henderson, Natural Resources Defense Council The Army Corps of Engineers said it is carefully monitoring the situation, and if lake levels continue to drop, they may have to modify how they operate the locks to limit the amount of water that goes into the lake, which would have an impact on recreational boats and barge traffic. "Regardless of which side is higher or lower, when you open the locks there is an exchange that takes place. When you're talking about Lake Michigan you're talking about a thimbleful of water and pouring it into Lake Michigan," David St. Pierre, Metropolitan Water Reclamation, said. Beyond water quality, the continued drought conditions and low water levels are having a financial impact the entire great lakes system. "There is certainly an economic impact to shippers who cannot carry as much cargo in their ships," Deda said. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District that manages the region's waterways said it plans to begin disinfecting the waste water that is pumped into the Chicago River, which could take years to implement. The Natural Resources Defense Council said officials need to rethink the entire water system due to climate change. Forecasters say no snow is expected in the near future.
