  1. On the inside toss a minnow on a weedless hook. No weights. In the evening it is deadly. Also try up at Haig's Reach lock 9 at night. Good luck.
  2. Check the Trent River system fro Lake Simcoe to Peterborough. There are a lot of boat locks that have dams and provide great shore fishing. Good luck
  3. Congratulations. two words. Gannon's Narrows !!! Have fun.

Try this as a third option. lots of bass walleye and pike. i had a blast here. Good luck http://www.cottagesunlimited.com/cottpages/cott181b.htm or even use this site to find a place
  5. PROOF POSITVE. SHOOT THEM !!!
  6. You could also go another 5 min and try off the dock at Caesarea, bobbers with minnows. There is a bait store just across the causeway. Good luck. Sorry about this. Just saw the previous post. The last time I was there I did not see any signs.
  7. Try using a slip sinker and a BIG minnow on a small salmon hook, about a six foot lead. Just drift it along the bottem with your bail open. When you get a hit give it line and when you think it is good flip the bail and give it a hit. Use in Mallory Bay or over by Sherman Point. Just another thing to try. Good luck.
  8. Just a little farther east is this place. Beautifull area. http://www.ontarioparks.com/English/silvl.html
  9. Folks, I hope I am not reading this right but it looks like Minister John Baird wants to make boat licenses to be renewable like a car license. His excuse is - "They also introduce renewable pleasure craft licences in order to improve the accuracy of licence information for search and rescue purposes. "The goal of these regulations is to reduce fatalities, injuries, and property damage resulting from small vessel accidents and incidents in Canada," said Minister Baird Now I don't know how to start a pettiton online but I hope some one else can pick up on this. I think this is another cash grab personally. Please see the link. http://www.tc.gc.ca/mediaroom/releases/nat/2009/09-h061e.htm
  10. GET some nuts Canada and tell the W.H.O to grow some too!!!! AGREED !!!!! Stop it now. They are saying six monthes before a vaccine could be ready. Now they are saying they might not bother but to let it run it's course. So be pro active and stop the spread.
  11. Stop by Maryanns bait store in Havelock she used to have maps.
  12. Check out the W.H.O. (World Health Organization) This not just a little outbreak. It is a new mutated virus. No cure. What happens if someone on your plane picks it up? Go to St. Martin.
  13. A list of things, spare prop, cotter pins. spark plugs, bailing bucket. Tools. If you are leaving it in a slip you may want an automatic bailer. If not under a roof it could fill up with rain water. Have fun.

  15. Have you ever been behind or beside someone who is hauling an overweight trailer? Weaving all over. Or someone with the wrong tires on ? Or no brake lights? I want to arrive where I am going or arrive at home. I make sure all my stuff is in proper working order so I do not endanger me, my wife, my freinds or anyone else. And if you can't do that then don't get on the road !!! The OPP can check me out all they want. Regards
  16. BIG crankbaits or Big spinners trolled in front of the dam. 20 t0 40 ft depth Or further up the lake in front of the bays on the right side. Good luck.
  17. I have an 02 v6 XLT. It has no rust and with maintenance pulls my boat fully load with ease. If I could afford it I would upgrade to an 07. Like any vehicle you must maintain, wash, oil changes, drive train services. I luv the auto four wheel. Switches in and out of 4 wheel with no hesitation. In my opinion anyways. Regards
  18. Sunchaser. As you cannot park on the 401 you wouldn't be able to put in there. But if you take Shannonville rd and follow it down you come to hwy 2. Go straight through and there is a park there. You can put in and travel down to the BOQ. There is also a small side lake you can hit. In here are bass, perch walleye and pike. The water is usally smooth unless it is a west wind. Now if you do look around just upstream there is a dam. I do not know about putting in there but you could ask the people at the store. Good luck.
  19. Somebody must be bored. Look at the palm trees in the background. Yes Port Hope gets crowded but there are all types of ignorant fishermen. Do not blame just one. Regards
  20. Call the Terminal Manager where you shipped from or go in person. Do not rely on customer service. To them you are just a number. Have the manager track step by step. If not get hold of the regional office. If there is a scam going on I am sure they would like to get involved. Good hunting.
  21. I too have stayed at Wolseley Lodge. Cabins are comfortable and they have a restaraunt if you don't feel like cooking. Lots of weedline lines and bays. Try by the Five Finger falls for walleye. And watch for rocks. Good luck
  22. There is a place on Oak Lake just the other side of Peterborough you might like. I forget the name. Maybe someone else remembers. There are lots out there though. Good luck.
  23. Well done Snag.
  24. Get your coils checked. Had the same issues years ago. Put in new gas and treatment, still bad. Micro cracks in the coils. Good luck.
  25. there are places right downtown in Ottawa, or go west to Galleta or Arnprior. At these places the Mississippi and the Madawaska join the Ottawa river. have fun.
