Pike might be a little tricky. I bet with a little luck I could do it with a bass.

      Rock bass doesn't count though...

      I LIKE SALMONS!

  2. I'm a die hard leafs fan but this is embarrassing of proportions only the leafs could pull off. Its times like this (And game 7 against Boston last year) that I hate being a leafs fan. But I will be until the day I die. Seasons over, time to start thinking about the draft.
  3. Wow, has this ever been a productive year of ice fishing.

Darn. I just saw this now. Probably for the best. I can't turn down a good day of fishing.

  4. The Sun has always been 'creative' with their sunshine girls. I had a friend who was one once. Her blurb said she wanted to be a veterinarian and dreamed of going sky diving........ she hates animals and has a fear of heights. After having a good laugh, she mentioned that they took a bunch of photos, paid her and asked her to leave. The blurbs are totally made up.
  5. In a Tornado, there is a good chance the rock will be through your window.
  6. I don't remember what they are called, but I don't like being cold so I bought a pair that had a liner on the inside from Sail. They were $150. Rubber on the outside, coat liner on the inside. I love em.
  7. Did they have Sea Lamprey on the menu? I hear its a delicacy.
  8. Geez, that's a Whitey Ford. Great fish and an even better dinner in your future.
  9. I could tell there was no snow/freezing rain because my allergies are still going crazy.
  10. Wow. I can't get over the size of those fish. Looks like you had a legendry winter. :worthy:
  11. They have been making North East service less and less over the years. I remember when I used to be able to take the train from Toronto to Cochrane and then the bus to Hearst. It was so nice. Now its a super long bus ride.
  12. Haha you guys are making me fill up a huge list. Restoule seems to be at the top of it. Killarny sounds pretty good too...... actually I haven't seen a less then stellar option yet. Might have to bust out drawing names out of a hat. Reservations start April 4th right?
  13. I get the feeling sadly option 2 is probably the safer bet. The buddy and I would be more happy doing an interior Algonquin trek or the like but I think his girlfriend would kill us if we brought her along on one of those. Also thanks everyone for all the advice. It was actually too good, now after showing them some of the options, they want to go a few times this summer.
  14. This is why I ask these questions in advance. Before I learned about OFC I would just go and do it, try to figure out the rest as it came along.
  15. A good friend of mine and his girlfriend have decided that they want to go camping again this year which I am all for. Her stipulation was 'A place none of us have ever been before.' As much as I like this idea, I want to make sure we get a campground that is still nice, isn't too far from home and hopefully has some fishing options. Ok so here are the specs (again any help is appreciated). We live in Mississauga, I think 3 hours would be our max drive. (Can be pushed a little bit). Can't be a campsite any of us have ever been to OR a lake we have ever fished before. We have been to/ fished: The pinery Cyprus lake at Tobermory Balsam lake Scugog Quinte (No sandbanks ) Presquille Somewhere in Algonquin (Though I don't remember where. I was 12) Chutes Provincial park (ultra sad I can't take them there) I think that's it. Any species of fish is ok.
  16. This is my boat and the boat that dreams are made of. 2 years ago me and a buddy (weighs about 250 pounds) both sat on the same side of the kayak with our feet in the water and the thing was as sturdy as can be. Another time me, Dynamic_Bear and a third buddy of ours all fished out of it. It was tight and only about 2 inches out of the water, but for 3 people on a kayak can you really complain?
  17. I have a 12 foot frontier fishing kayak and I love it. For years I always wanted a bass boat, now for the most part, I can fish anywhere I want with the Yak. Its great. I apologize in advance, I'm going to hijack this thread a little. Does anyone know if its possible to put a downrigger on a fishing kayak to go for Lakers?
  18. Great day of fishing. Glad you had success. Man do I ever love fishing Lake Joe.
  19. Great catches guys. Looks like you had an awesome day too.
  20. Crummy weather. Good day for ice fishing. And that was a gooooood day!

Hey Brian, where you headed on Joe?

  21. I love being a Leafs fan because this seems to happen every single year at least 82 times (maybe more). Us Leafs fans are sitting around, 'Hey. That was a good game. Wow Reimer played really well. The team is looking good.' Etc etc. Then a Montreal or Ottawa or Boston fan comes along "Laffs fans are busting out the parade balloons again, planning the route. Any sign of optimism and Laffs fans think they are the best team in the league". I'm not going to go back and read 173 pages but I'm pretty sure not once has anyone said 'The leafs are cup bound this year. This is our year.' They are playing well, it looks like they are going to make the playoffs and it will make for an exciting post season. That's all. I find it funny how everyone but Maple Leafs fans seems to get the most excited when the Leafs are doing well. Geez, if only you all had that kind of excitement towards your own teams.
  22. ....... what just happened? I thought we were down 3-2. That was a heck of a goal.
