Shake it more than 3 times and your playin with it

I have a 40 mariner and it won't pump water unless its in a lake. Don't ask me why......on muffs I get no water, in a barrel I get no water....put it in the lake....she pisses like a racehorse. I've seen ccmt's motor not pump water in a barrel too....when there was what I thought was more than enough water in it.....we filled it up a little more, and she pumped no prob. I don't trust barrels or muffs anymore. Sometimes in a barrel, the bubbles from the exaust will not allow enough water for it to pump, and the air can damage the impellor. Drop it in the lake and try it. You don't even have to take it off the trailer....that's what I do if I have problems. Sinker

Just plain ole 1oz spinner baits work fine for me. I catch all species of fish on them too. I have a rod with a spinner on it ALWAYS, and its ALWAYS the first one I go for!! Just keep atter, you'll get one sooner or later!! Sinker

You gotta burn some spinners Bill! I swear, I catch 99% of my musky on spinnerbaits. I'll throw one all day, and if they don't want it, they usually don't want anything else either. Maybe its just a confidence thing, but I have a real hard time NOT using a spinner bait. Sinker

I'm not familiar with honda's. Mine won't turn with it engaged, but my engine isn't a honda, or a 4 stroke, or electric start....LOL. Just a wild guess. I want to hear what the problem was when you find out, that's for sure!! Sinker

Could also be the safety switch thingy that stops the engine from starting in gear.....?? This is a weird one, that's for sure. Sinker

Well, it looks like ya's had a good day Cliff and Carole. The Unbrella is a great tool to keep the kids comfy....it works great!! The more times you launch, the more you learn. Sometimes stuff happens...don't let it get to ya.....life goes on! Sinker

I'm really picky with my whities. I make sure they get bled out, and go right on ice, and cleaned asap. A lot of times, I'll clean them right on the lake. I find they don't keep as well as most fish. The sooner you can get them cleaned and put away, the better. I always trim off as much of the red as possible too.......nasty stuff that is. Sinker

Vanish is a PITA IMO. You really gotta wet the line on your knots, and pull them tight slowly. Then give it a good hard yank, to make sure its not gonna snap. I have no use for vanish anymore......just a headache if you ask me. Try some seaguar if you just want fluoro leaders, or P-line for a fluoro mainline. Those are the best I've found so far for ease of use, and strength. They cost a little more, but last much longer. Sinker

A replacement hull isn't something you hear about too often. Kudos to UCM and lowe for keeping thier customers satisfied!! Its a hard thing to find these days! Sinker

Usually you'll blow a gasket before it seizes if it overheated. Sounds like its just locked up like the previous posts said. I've never had that happen though.....or seen it for that matter. Could be siezed too.......I honestly don't know...LOL. Sinker
