  4. My home town is Griquet. You would have driven right thru it on the way to the viking settlement. Heres a shot of my Dads house there, I'm sure you saw it. Nicest spot in town if you ask me! He's in the middle of renovating it now, so it might look a little different. Sinker
  5. Dano, Looks like you had an awesome trip! Nice to see you took the trip up the northern peninsula too!! You went right thru my hometown on the way to Lanse aux meadows. Beautiful country huh? Thanks for posting! Sinker

  9. A buddy of mine has been doing good in the evenings on the flies.....white was good last time I talked to him, but its different every time it seems. He's heading out to 120FOW and trolling east-west from 30-60ft down. Sinker
  10. Well, you made it off the mainland, that's pretty good.....but ya didn't make it all the way!! LOL. I see a codfish, a tomcod, and seacat. I don't know the real name for the seacat....that's what we always called them though. We'd fish off the wharf at night and just haul 'em in by de 'tousands! Thanks for sharing!! Sinker
  11. Nice guiding job mike!! LOL WTG Ryan!! Nice job outfishing the old man!! He must have taught you well kiddo!! Sinker
  12. From the view lake launch.....it at about 10 o'clock on the north shore. There's a small park there too......and a launch. sinker
  13. We start off by stopping at a local creek, where we catch "bait". This consists of minnows, crayfish and sometimes leeches. Usually, he spends most of his time playing in the "bait" bucket. Then we head to the icecream shop on the way to the lake Once on the water, I usually just anchor out on a weed edge, and dunk our "bait". Like I said.....he spends more time playing in the bait bucket than anything......between drinks and treats that is. Once in a while, he'll put his line in and catch a fish.......he got lucky with that bass! He really likes to just cast and reel in. Doesn't matter if he catches fish.....he just likes to wing something out there, and reel it in....LOL. Its all about making fishing a positive experience. The fish are just a bonus. If you asked him what he likes about fishing, he'd most likely say doing donuts in the boat and jumping the waves....LOL......either that or the icecream on the way!! As long as he wants to go.....Im happy!! Sinker
  14. That looks like fun guys!! Nize size on those eyes too......they look like twins! Sinker
  15. 50:1 = 20ml per litre of gas. Those old johnsons are bullit proof. You may need to replace a part here and there, but they're relatively cheap. Sinker
  16. Rons Taxidermy is pretty good.
  17. I knew it was gonna be something off the wall like that. At least you've got it figured out, now to find out how much it'll cost ya!! Sinker
  18. Make me feel sorry? Never.....I can't wait for the day he outfishes me!! He's caught the biggest fish a couple times......and still won't let me live it down!! LOL. I think he told everyone in our family today about this bass........his mom was getting sick of hearing about it Sinker
  19. I thought hydro was something that was smoked?
  20. My son got a new PB today.... ..he was freaking out with this smallie, it took him for a ride A couple nice jumps, and a lot of bull dogging, but he got it in the boat. When I grabbed it and pulled it over the gunnels....he let out the biggest scream of joy I've ever heard from him!! LOL Here he is in his glory! He hasnt figured out the eyes yet. They're a little more tricky for him, but soon enough, with lots of practice, he'll be keeping up to dad in that department too!! Gotta love it!! Sinker
  21. Same here. I have plenty of 3" white grubs. None of them compare to the power baits. I prefer the ones with the fatter tails....there is something about the action on those that the eyes can't seem to resist. The other ones with the skinnier tails, don't work half as well. Sinker
  22. I really wish I would have taken a pic of that......LOL
  23. Good luck with the 50"er. If you catch it with me in my boat..........I hope you can swim!!!! Sinker
  24. Meegs, I bought a brand new lowrance transducer in the winter, to use on the ice, instead of taking the one off my boat. I had the same problems.......it was indeed the transducer. I took the one off the boat, and its worked perfect ever since!! go figure...... Sinker
  25. Keep casting that yellow musky bucktail and you'll get one fer sure!! I love that one..... Sinker
