Thanks for that recipe leechman, must be good on the BBQ. One thing I usually do is that I make sure that my plates have been in the oven for a while, so they are nice and hot to put the steaks in . I find that if teh steaks get cold they get very tough. But if I can keep them warm they stay tender. I actually have cast iron plates with wooden holders that I keep just for venison.

I think that it is better to chose a rod that with your reel attached is well-balanced. I had a 200.00 rod that I had an okuma spinning reel on and it felt like a 20.00 Walmart special. until I found at BPS a rod balancer kit. That you add weight to the tip of the handle part to balance out your setup. Now it feels like a 350.00 setup.

Canadian government should have sold it instead!! That's right we just "buy" old military equipment like subs from other countries.

A couple of years ago when those CTC tackle bags came on sale I bought 12 of them, just to get all the boxes that were in them. And then I bought a big water prof duffel bag. I can put 10-15 of the plastic boxes in it .

Can't believe nobody said Dale Hunter. Dave Semenko , Ken Linesman. John Kordik Domi was a good fighter but I can't believe that some would put Wendell Clark on this list of enforcers!!!!

Most Canadians knew that the Tories were going to end up with another Minority governement. So why were these elections even called. It was a waste of $10 millions of taxpayers money, to end up with exactly what we started with. I think the reason a lot of people never even voted was because are choices were . Which of the lesser evil do we vote for?? -
We would've had lots of rain delays this summer. maybe they want to stay away because of our wicked temperature swings.

I agree with you on having to buy 3 bags of them, I got tired of that and I started using o-rings on the senkos. I can go 6-7 bass before having to change senkos. Nice to be able to fish with your Dad. -

Can't believe I didn't take my fishing rod!
wallyboss replied to irishfield's topic in General Discussion
You should've brought your rod, cause that is a hotspot right there for fall walleyes. the part of the river just west of Bronson bridge is great for eyes. -
Q: The Stanley Cup was recently on tour in my town, and I kissed it. Do I have to worry about being infected by listeria? A: You are safe. The Stanley Cup has not been in contact with any Maple Leaf product in over 40 years.

Here is the regs about hunters orange Hunter Orange The objective of the hunter orange regulation is to maximize hunter safety without negatively impacting hunting success. Under this regulation, all licensed hunters, including bow hunters, hunting during the gun season for deer and moose, are required to wear hunter orange. As well, all black bear hunters hunting during the black bear season are required to wear hunter orange except when in a tree stand. (This exception is in place because, unlike deer and moose, black bears have colour vision.) Waterfowl hunters, spring wild turkey hunters and bow hunters in bows-only seasons, where there are no concurrent deer or moose gun seasons, are exempt from the hunter orange requirement. A hunter orange garment and head cover must be worn. The hunter orange garment must cover a minimum of 2,580 square cm (400 square inches) above the waist and be visible from all sides. Open mesh or camouflage hunter orange must not be part of the 2,580 square cm. A hunting coat or vest generally meets this requirement. The hunter orange head cover may have: open mesh; a peak or brim colour other than hunter orange; a crest or logo which does not completely cover the hunter orange on the side where it is affixed. The head cover may not contain camouflage material. Hunter orange colour standards are generally consistent across North America. Manufacturers can provide information regarding clothing compliance with this standard.

I hope for the family's sake that each one of them is wearing regulation orange!! And not a fur coat with a white hat.

I use a dropshot setup, when I am icefishing for walleyes under a tipup then you can set the tipup to the very lightest setting and you will pickup any light bites.

Question for the police officers on the board (NF)
wallyboss replied to timmeh's topic in General Discussion
One thing that saved me more than once was, as soon as you know that the police have nailed you pull over. No need for them to take off and race after you. I met an OPP going up North one time and we met at the top of a hill and I knew right off the bat that he had clocked me. So I pulled right over, the first thing he did was to thank me for not making him take off after me. He said have a good day and slow down.
