  1. I agree , I gave an explanation as to why they are cheating, in no way said they should do it As a matter of fact I said they should have had greater punishment

  2. Hey Ark, as usual you make a lot of sense. This happens to many of us and sure, we shouldn't snap a pic or weigh it but if we're careful about the time out of water, i'd say go for it. Now, maybe the pic could be prefaced with "my grandson last fall" to CYA but this is a pretty small forum so I don't think its an issue. Also, pretty hard for the MNR to come down on someone based on a pic. They should be focusing their efforts on the poachers. Case and point, I was in the long point inner bay last may and there was a ton of people fishing. Now there is a sanctuary which it appeared that they were honoring but outside of that it was game on. I mentioned to a few fishermen about the season restrictions and the location of the sanctuary and certainly got some dirty looks! Now if you ask why I was there its because I had a new boat and I was going through the break in procedure. I didn't even have a rod in the boat.

  5. A couple of years ago…some “new Canadians” posted an entire video showing them running around netting and then spearing salmon in one of the rivers. They then put their full legal names in the credits and posted it to YouTube. needless to say, charges were laid 😂

  6. I just think the motor looks cool when straight and supported on the trailer.

  7. It seems the MNR does "come down on someone based on a pic". Don't get me wrong, the example in the link is apples and oranges compared to the photo that was posted here...but it looks like the CO's do troll the fishing forums on-line.. https://www.orilliamatters.com/local-news/social-media-photos-of-lake-sturgeon-net-fines-for-local-anglers-1639609

  8. Yeah, but the CIA, at least years ago had no jurisdiction. So if that is still the case you will have to present it to the FBI. I do know a couple FBI agents, one in LA and the other in Orlando from way back when, retired, but one is still active when his expertise is called upon. The other, a gal in Florida, is now a game warden, got sick of the politics in FBI. I should have sent this to her just for laughs.

  13. East of Calgary. Bow River at Carseland weir, antique tractor, worlds strongest woman. The weir doesn't look all that impressive at this time as our lakes and rivers are at an all time record low due to our drought for the past few seasons. Should see and hear this thing when it's at full bore. It's actually quite scary.

  14. Hi all, gotta love YouTube, found a video that showed how to make a homemade musky tackle box and save myself $300! Basically 2 10’ lengths of pvc downspout from Rona, an Ozark 48 can cooler from Walmart and 15 minutes on the mitre saw. The product it produces comes in at Around C$115 and easily replaces the item below which comes in at anywhere between $390 and $450. here is the video link for anyone interested .

  15. Well there's lots of rocket scientists out there who probably never passed physics 101. If you don't tie down the rear of the boat to the trailer even a piece of 2x4 does nothing for saving the transom. What you want is to have the boat and trailer going over potholes and bumps to do it together, not the boat flopping around on the trailer and then the weight of the motor adding to the motion. A transom saver ensures the unsupported lower end of the motor from from flopping around. I've watched mine going over bumps, the whole trailer, boat and motor move up and down as one unit. No flopping. Your toys, due your diligence.
