  2. Got out to a small remote lake north of Dryden, I’d not fished there before but my buddies had and they knew the spot to set up, I’m usually fishing deeper for walleye and it felt wrong to be in 3’ to 5’ FOW, but that feeling lasted about ten minutes before my buddy reels in a 21”er! Very cool to barely get the jig past the bottom of the hole before the jig take’s off horizontally…. Fun!

  5. Ya that's a fox. There sound is not as strong as say a coyote or bigfoot.

  7. Agree with looking for numbers, freezing your spheres off for one or two fish doesn’t tickle my turtle either.

  8. Hi all, Finally got out for trout for the first time this year. Got 4 or five decent pike waiting for the lakers to turn on, lost one, had a couple chases with nothing more than nose bumps, but landed a nice 35”er that was just CHUNKY! Took almost 6 minutes to reel in, seemed like a lifetime after just getting snapped off a few minutes before.

  9. I caught a 20lb Muskie through the ice on a pickerel line (8lb). I was laughing the whole time because it looked huge through the hole and I didn’t think I could land it. I did land it but no pic. one time I took Billy fishing on simcoe. He shows up and I start laughing. He’s got a tip up with 30lb line. He says there’s some big fish in here. After a while he hooks a beast and instead of paying out some line he just holds tight. He’s hand bent right down to the water before the line broke. lol.

  10. interesting thought. Almost all of my catches through the ice are very mediocre. I think this is because I choose numbers lakes when it comes to ice fishing. A friend did take me out once to a different spot and I caught my pb walleye. 30 inches long and massively fat. Was probably 12-14 lbs. Other than that one fish I can't recall anything extraordinary

  11. "Track pressure" for an Argo is a lot less than a man walking, AFAIK. But still, with a LOT of experience driving Argos, I do not take them onto thin ice. I DID try this a few times, and the results were not inspirational....not with tires, and not with tracks. Doug

  12. So if it’s a 6x6 and I’m sure there is more then a square foot of tire on the ground it is at most 200 pounds per square ft. A good sized man will have as he steps will put around the same weight per square foot im not going anywhere with this , just thought I would mention it. lol
