  1. I want to first start off with this post is nothing against my buddy and rod builder here Spiel. He does the best work and I understand the 2 year waiting list. I wanted a new stick for the Blue Zeppelin I won, and talking to a few local buddies, they recommended a guy to get one done by. So I called and asked a few questions and we set a time to discuss and look over his shop and inventory. After arriving at his place and talking,I noticed a few pictures he had hanging around. As we both have aged,I recognized him in his younger years and turns out,we fished the same spots together many years ago. Humber, credit,Pot D, four sisters,Bronte and the whirlpool. I chose all the stuff I wanted and even laid out my own fore grip and butt. I picked it up today and am very happy with the way it turned out. No flashy stuff, just a nice clean cork handle that was turned down to fit my grip. The blank is a North Fork Delta. The weight for a 13.6 stick is crazy light . Like I said,no offense to my buddy here. Now to get hooked up and see how it handles.

  2. It looks beautiful Misfish, I love everything about it, especially the cork handle. He obviously knows what he's doing when it comes to building custom rods. Very nice reel by the way. It looks as though they were indeed made for each other.

  3. Tiffin boat launch today (April 11) at lunch. Some open spots over by the government dock as well. Looked to be “lots” of ice farther out in the bay.

  6. Homemade Pizza. Nothing overly unusual, but this time was my first outing making the dough from scratch and by hand, I have no mixer. Turned out pretty gosh darn good with the one exception being the low priced Bacon I had on hand was rather salty.

  7. I like it so much I had to come back on the computer and look at it again. I'm the same way when it comes to cork handles. Looks like something I'd own, lol.

  8. Jeeez, I could have turned this into a great road trip, down thru Southern Ontario, then on to Southern Ohio then all the way northwest to Yellow Knife and back home again. 😁

  11. New job shifts are 4 days 10 hrs, both days and afternoon. My shift is Friday-Sunday day shift , 3 12,s paid 40. I have to say,I would take both, but having 4 days off , is nice. Plenty of time to do lots of stuff, and no weekend crowds.

  12. Thanks. Much appreciated I’ve amassed A ton of goodies. Grounding bars, fuse blocks, battery kill switches. It’s going to look a lot like that system. Trying to impart some of my own trickery. (like being able to patch all three batteries together in case the starting battery goes dead) Where I might need a hand is wiring up my new tach. This boat had zero anything in it. (navigation lights and a cigarette lighter is all it had) Trying to bring it up to modern spec.
