  1. A friend wanted a lighthouse for her garden, I couldn't find anything that wasn't junk at a price I was willing to pay so I built her this one. It's 3/4" mahogany exterior grade water proof plywood so it should last for a few years. It turned out to be a bit of a challange because trying to cut a taper with a 30* angle so the hex all fit properly with hand tools working outside in the cold was harder than I thought. Anyway, it works, the light is solar powered and rotates and I just earned enough brownie points to last me for at least a year 😊

  2. Well, I got the Astrazenica Vax on Friday. No ill affects at all, other than a bit of a sore arm at the injection site. Three weeks until it's at "full power" and a booster shot yet to come. No "blood clot mon" here! HH

  3. Sportsman's Lodge and Manitoba Trophy Outposts (trophypikecanada.com) Owned and operated by a Canadian. Brett Geary lives in Red Lake and owns this fish camp on Little Vermilion along with a couple outpost camps. This is a fly in that is economical, just a short ten minute float plane ride from base camp on the the Chukuni River. Lots of small to medium size walleye and giant pike.

  8. Got it patched up. took a belt sander to some wine corks and got a jar of dust. Mixed wood glue in and over two days layered it up. It took a few layers because the hole was so deep and the glue would inevitably shrink or want to run. I do wish the colour was more bang on, but I can’t complain considering how bad it was prior. the feel is pretty spot on after sanding. Definitely wouldn’t notice it while fishing. I hope the glue holds up to wet hands and rain

  10. sounds like my 88 15horse You cant kill the damn thing. It runs even with its carb currently being screwed up from my old man leaving ethanol gas in it for 3 years. I know for a fact if i put a new carb on it it would run first pull no problem.

  11. That might be because mercury has a much larger share of the available market than Yamaha. They own the lions share of the OEM market.

  12. Well I wouldn't call myself a "wood worker" but I did make a lot of sawdust when I built these cabinets in my man cave. The fishing rod locker was a tough one, getting 4 slides to all work in conjunction was a chalange the tolerance is 1/16" on one set. I didn't have table saws and things like that, everything had to be done with power hand tools.
