  1. Woke up on this day and started my 61st year. I was greeted with a couple of things that made me cry with being so proud of my family’s love.

  2. It also goes the other way as well. I am an electrician (309-A) and have been working as an application engineer for an electrical manufacturer for the last 12yrs. I get approached all the time for people wanting things done, friends of friends and neighbors. Since my kids are getting older I have more time on my hands to fish & hunt and do side jobs. I carefully vet my customers as well because to be honest I am done with crawling through an insulated filled attic to install pot lights, or deal with customers that want to re-negotiate with you after the job is complete. I do not think that the trades have ever been this busy thanks to COVID. People are renovating their homes while they are working from home. The underground economy is BOOMING and I have done jobs for cash, services in lieu of, products, and about anything else you can trade or negotiate.

  5. Funny you mention that. I was reading about the bees using dung, to protect and repel the hornets from their hives . Apparently the hornets do not like the smell.

  7. I always see a big cooler of pork shoulders at a great price and a box of sausage casings at RCSS here about this time every year. Last year 2 older gentlemen , Italian I think, had a cart full, 8 or so ahead of me in the checkout, must be a traditional sausage making time .

  9. The 80lb is obvioulsy better, but I have a 55lb on my deep and wide starcraft tiller and its great. No complaints. Between my main engine (40hp Yammy) and the bowmount, I can cover any trolling speed, and the spot lock works great even in a big wind. S.

  11. Unfortunately you gotta consider the extra wiring and battery in doing all of this. Like any good boat item, it usually turns into a project just to use it lol

  12. I spoke directly to an OPP Officer at a local detachment today. She tried to maintain the party line ("Travel is not recommended at this time") but I boxed her in and she conceded there is no specific law against travel in Ontario at this time. I recommend anyone who is unsure or prefers to do their own due diligence call their local detachment. It is a quick call and confirms what you want to know directly from the horses mouth.

  13. This is the problem with the trades right now, they pay so well but everyone wants to start their own business and get rich. The problem is that running a business and doing the trades are two very very different things.
