I used to have a 16' Crestliner and put a 6 HP Merc on the back for a kicker and although it was great for trolling it didn't have the power to turn the boat fast in a strong wind.1 point

I would think a 9.9 or 15 would do the trick. You have to take the wind into consideration as well.1 point
