  1. Order a carb rebuild kit from Amazon which was okay, some of the kit would not fit....anyways replaced the float and needle valve and gaskets and gave it a real good clean and now she seems to be running pretty good....Thanks!

  2. I remember hunting leopard frogs at night for the old man to use the next day. I never could, I'd usually just release them

  3. That is the nature of the game. Some days it's nothing but blow-ups with no hook-ups. Turning out the hooks slightly might help but it also decreases the weedlessness. I'll try a smaller frog sometimes or get a little more water in the bait so it sits a little lower in the water. Some days nothing seems to make a difference.

  4. Yes, I bought a couple of frogs and have good days and bad days with them. I would definitely choose another bait over them like Akrisoner said. Something rigged weedless like a fluke or swim bait.

  7. What does the law require??? Keeping a muskie net in the boat at all times?? hardly. teaching people that MIGHT accidentally hook a musky once in their life how to pick one up by the gill plate?? LOL Give them a free first aid kit as well. The law says if you buy a licence you get to fish and follow the rules. There's no rules about what to do if a musky eats your 2" walleye bait. People do the best they can under the current structure. When and if fishing licences ever go to requiring a course (such as hunting), then these extra measures can possibly be implemented. If you're out jigging for walleye and hook up on a musky with your 6lb line, instead of thinking about how to net it or pick it up, DON'T LAND IT. Point the rod at the fish and break it off. Your knot is the weakest point. Getting back to the Op's topic, since we have no real proof of what killed those fish, blaming cottagers, renters, campers or whoever is premature and unfair. I've seen "pros" do some stupid filtered try again please too.

  8. some guys absolutely love froggin, To be honest my hookup ratio when i started frogging was probably sub 10% Personally theres just other ways I would rather fish in the slop. Some guys seem to stick em all of the time while frogging, personally I have a heck of a time getting the fish to hook up. From my experience when you get a solid frog bite, You are going to see the frog get eaten and its not going to come back up even if you wait for 2 seconds. Then you gotta set the hook really really hard to make sure it crushes and gets the hooks into them. Top water in general is a big time percentages game, thats why I always keep a follow up bait rigged, If i get a blow up that misses, I stop, wait 2 seconds then give the bait one twitch, and wait again. If nothing happens I immediately reel in as fast as possible and throw them something to eat like a senko or a ned rigged craw. If you are fishing heavy weeds immediately chuck a whacky rig exactly where the blow up happened and to be honest better than 50% of the time the fish will hit that follow up bait.

  10. Update: I got my full refund from XWRP! I am shocked. Turns out my biggest battle was with Nissan simply to get a two-lined letter saying that I didn’t use the warranty. Good luck to everyone else.

  11. Are you setting the hook when you see the hit? Best to wait to set the hook when you feel the fish pull rather than set when the blow up happens. However, sometimes the fish just don't take the bait for whatever reason.

  12. in some countries having less pasture land may be helpful but in canada it would only hurt us take less acreage for veggies so need less farmers and farm land to many people lose the jobs and homes and a lot of unused land..does that really help by that thinking if we made everyone live in high rise apartments and tear down every single family home, look at what they could save maybe outlaw all boats on the water..yeah that will help, but better outlaw all guns too cause someone is going to get shot in canada going veggie wont help and wont make you live longer, it will just seem longer...lol
