  2. I'd never heard of that 10 speed tranny before and after looking it up and seeing all the issues including class action lawsuits I'd never buy a truck with it regardless of how good that 5.0 l is. Hopefully the Op won't have those problems. https://www.vehiclehistory.com/articles/ford-10-speed-transmission-problems-to-be-aware-of

  4. If you are into Muskie fishing, fish around Ant Island and the north shoreline in South Bay. There is also good bass fishing on the west side of Grand Island. My dad caught a 45 inch Muskie where south bay starts but that was over 30 years ago.
  5. Managed to get some more pics posted of my little Matty to show off his beautiful markings, In the last pic he appears to be in deep thought about something LOL 15 weeks old now.
  6. I got many years of reliable service from my old F150, I don’t think you can go wrong. One thing ford does well is 5L engines. Mind you I had the 4.6, which wasn’t the ballsiest engine, but it certainly did the job reliably!
  7. Thanks so much for all the replies everyone, I appreciate them and your stories of the neighborhood. I'm still waiting to hear back from whichever authority tells us either way.
  8. She definitely said you "don't have the right as a property owner to fish there". So, we'll see.
  9. I've tried contacting parks, and the TRCA, no response yet. Will keep this post updated.
  10. Can't go wrong with the 5.0 I have one love it. The 10 speed took a little getting used to.
  11. Yes, a 24 V 100... I'll need to check in the morning to answer your first question. I guess I can get away with it for now.. Leaving for a trip on Friday to the Sag (Port Loring). Won't have time to buy a charger. Thanks! I think it can operate at 24V. Does it seem like it took too long?
  12. You can buy the skirts from Luremaking .com. Or,you can mail them to me and I,ll do some of my magic to them. NC, Just pay the mailing cost both ways.
  13. What is the output of your charger in amps when you put it in Lithium mode ? Check the charging requirements of your battery vs your charger. Yours is a 24v 100 amp battery ? Can your charger operate at 24v ? Lithiums typically charge at a higher voltage to maximize battery life. You may need a dedicated charger.
  14. You can buy replacement skirts...all kinds on Amazon. You can put on soft plastics too, but I like how the blade makes the skirt flutter.
  15. Charged it a few days ago. Took many hours. As in the whole night! Is this normal?
  16. Came upon a few of these while cleaning the box. Skirts dried up (weren't stored properly). Do you guys add a plastic (like a jig?) and fish them? Was thinking they could still be useful.

  18. At the risk of stating the obvious, it seems to me that the area has been hunted out by this lodge and others to the extent that the hunting part of their operation is no longer viable. Whether or not they can survive with just fishing is the big question.
  19. Hi Folks.....is there a lock available for a Minn Kota transom electric motor? Some of the outfitters I go to in Quebec have remote lakes that we can fish and it's a pain in the butt to always remove the electric motor if we want to head back to the cabin for a few hours.
  20. The guy obviously knows his way around fly tying, same as yourself. Woolly buggers are very popular out west here especially on the Bow River for rainbow and brown.
  21. Thanks gang for the kind words. I have well over 2000+ ties stocked away and building. I have plans on being at the CANCAST 2025 . Talking to some guys that were there last year,I would be well to attend at their tackle swap section. I have have packaging now and labels are being made this week along with cards. I have a good customer base for my ice grubs and my spring twitch and bead bugs now. Woolly buggers are always selling well. Like to share a good story . This was from meeting up with an older fella that has tied for a long time. I had this one fella that was picking through my bugs and wooliys. Asked if he was looking for something particular. He replied, no,I am impressed you use quality materials and hooks especially. Also advised my prices were very generous and should be charging more. I replied,I am comfortable with my selling price, it keeps my customers coming back. I felt like I was taking a test from this older fly tyer. He asked what I meant by double wrapped woolly. I explained my way of tying them. Lock the hackle at the head, wrap the thread back to the tail, wrap the hackle back, trap the hackle 3 wraps with the thread, then wiggle the thread through the hackle locking it down, back to the head and whip finish. He said not many do that as it,s extra steps ,but mentioned that is how he has done it for years. No messing around with thin wire, as is the norm. Turns out this guy has been tying for like 40 plus years. I was very humbled.
  22. Good choice in my books HTHM. Very nice. Congrats.
