Zone 11 Can you fish Walleye on the Friday before third Saturday of May

I think it is the third Saturday for walleye but some lakes are not

closed to all fishing on the Friday so they can fish for perch and crappie

Walleye and sauger combined

Season: January 1 to March 31 and Friday before third Saturday in May to December 31
Limits: S-5 and C-2; must be less than 40 centimetres from March 1 to June 15

This is for Zone 12  seems they are different

Zone 12 is the Ottawa River, I believe that's to fall in line with the Quebec reg's on the other side of the river. As you know, weekends start on Thursday night in La Belle Province...

I have not heard of that, I know you can fish much of the Ottawa river with either an Ontario or Quebec license. But having an Ontario license  I would have thought you would have to follow Ontario rules and if you have a Quebec license you follow their rules 

usually if it doesn’t say it in the regulations it’s not a regulation

They really aren't.. You've just gotta read them and look at any exceptions for the zone you're fishing.

generalized regulations are to the detriment of our fisheries. Specifically addressing areas and lakes is important. You most certainly do not want the same walleye regulations implemented on lake erie as you do on the ottawa river.

The only thing that ive found to be a bit strange are the new bait management zone regs. The catch and retain limits are not very complicated.
