DRIFTER_016 Posted March 5, 2018 Report Posted March 5, 2018 The winter carnival folks were out harvesting ice for the upcoming ice carving contest. We should be OK, ice fishing wise for a bit yet.

smitty55 Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 Neat, they look like they'd be great for carving. Any pics of the saw machine they use? Cheers

smitty55 Posted March 7, 2018 Report Posted March 7, 2018 I went on their facebook site. Those blocks are 4x8 and weigh 6000 lb. In 8 hours they got 22 blocks out, but it took 4 hours to get the first one. I was wondering how they managed to get those chains around it at first. One saw width wouldn't be enough, so they'd have to make the hole bigger. That sure is quite the chainsaw. Tks for sharing. Cheers
