I'm glad today was a wet one. Temperatures came up enough to get the big sunfish feeding. The daughter and I spent 4 hours along the river hitting on schools of bluegills and pumpkinseeds. They did not want artificial minnows this time. They wanted good old fashioned dew worms. There wasn't another soul around either.

Good to hear Bruce. A buddy who is recently addicted to Gills has been just murdering them on Stony this fall.

Since I'm never in Caygeon in the fall I still haven't experienced a fall fish for gills. Really looking forward to it some day. Especially the "not another soul around " thing. One of my fav things about fall fishing.

Enjoy your fish fry.

Definitely an under-rated fish to target. Definitely not the biggest in the pond, but always a lot of fun to catch. Glad you had fun.

i spend every April Ultra lighting pans...its crazily some of my favourite fishing.

Once you start finding those 8-10" gills on ultralite, it's a blast.

I hate this post!!!

Every time I see it I see Welland Panties!!!!

I expect to open it up to see scantily clad Niagara area coeds!!!!!

Not a post about panfish!!! :tease: :tease: :tease: :tease:

That's what happens when you live in the far north :canadian: Cabin fever comes early :tease:
