atvaholic Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 Hi, Headed out to pancake bay PP next week with the family. I've driven by once but I dont really know the area. Want to keep the kids occupied....Any good place to get some small pan-fish, or go for a hike? Any smaller lakes nearby I can canoe?
Freshtrax Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) Keep driving to Agawa bay It puts you closer to more things in the park. Sand river is a nice hike. I. Gargantua is a cool place to check out the road is pretty rough I wouldn't want to do it in a car. any of the lakes in the park along the highway are stocked with Brookies a small spinner tipped with a worm will get you some. huzzsaba Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 Very nice park and friendly staff from my brief stop there for a washroom break lol. I have heard good things about Agawa bay but never been there. Best person to give you info on the area is Tyler Dunn. great guy with tons of knowledge of the area. http://www.tylerdunnguiding.ca/
atvaholic Posted July 8, 2016 Author Report Posted July 8, 2016 Thanks for the tips. Is there anyplace to pull over along the highway to access these lakes...or just the shoulder?
dheitzner Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 I gotta 2nd continuing on to Agawa Bay; tons of trails and fishing in LSPP, good visitors centre too. Beautiful country up there, just love it.
pike slayer Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Ya there's not alot close to pancake unless you try a river or to. I'd keep going and camp in the park like others have said
