icefisherman Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Started with a rookie coworker at 5am....left before 8am...9/11....all but couple were big fish.....20-25 lbs range...all Kings....2 on fly the rest on Meegs spoons with Blue/silver/white getting most fish....40-60 feet down around 100fow. Left and had boat on trailer before rain started.... Still full day ahead and had tons of fun for couple hours...can't ask for much more... Few shots with the happy rookie ;-) Cheers, Ice Fisherman
ckewley Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Awesome stuff man, hope to have a smile that big on my yap next weekend!
Freshtrax Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Nice we were out and off the lake at 9 went 5/7 mostly a spoon bite. Lost the biggest fish of the season so far and kept a few for the smoker Hellava season so far in the west end
BITEME Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 It's gonna be a good one I think Burned a few big ones the other night same setup
misfish Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Nice fish guys. Looks like the bite was on for all of us before the rain hit.
Old Ironmaker Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Your couple of hours this morning was more productive than some guys entire season on Lake O, me included. Good going my man. But you have that rookie spoiled, he's going to expect that every outing unless you explained it only happens sometimes once in a lifetime for big Kings like you had.
Joeytier Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Amazing average size there. Amazing morning there!
