Hi guys,

There was that post a little while back about the police cutting triangles on the ice, and big warnings. Does anyone have any more info on what happened or

what is the state of the ice by Minet's point?

Thanks

Saw a picture of the remaining triangle ice blocks on the surface. Those idiots set the blocks up, pointy tip skyward and they're not small. Heaven forbid somebody runs into them.

I said the same thing if snow blows in more and someone is going to hit them going 100km and there will be more bodies to deal with

Im the one that started the post.

They were pretty hush hush about what was going on.

I fished out there Saturday and had an officer from the OPP come by my hub to let me know they would be diving in the area. I had asked if they had found the body. His answer was no. They dove both Saturday and Sunday. I have not been down there since Sunday.

As for wallking out, there is 5-7 inches of ice. Their holes are marked like said..Unsafe as they may seem, they are markers for them. If anyone has a concern with the way they have laided out the holes, they need to contact the Barrie OPP Marine Under water recovery unit or the Barrie police.

I will stop down there during the day Wed. If they are still poking up,I will make the call even stop in to see them, to ask if they plan on smashing them down. They do present a danger.
