adam lancia Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 I have a question about the various seasons for the different species. The 3rd or 4th weekends in June are listed as opening day for bass, does that mean it's only catch and release before then or a strict ban on fishing for bass then?

Season is closed, you cannot target bass even if you plan on releasing them.
wdodgetruck Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 I picked up a copy at Canadian Tire last week .

adam lancia Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 Thank you for the clarification Bill. Looks like my spring fishing is going to be for trout of some kind :-D
Steve Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 pike and walleye open in may (for most regions). prior to that, (jan/feb/march/april) you'll be dealing with trout. just be careful, trout season in MANY locations is not open until "trout opener". read those regs.
