I was planning on hitting Oro this morning in seach for whities,,but changed my mind. Kinda glad I did. Never before have I caught these size of lakers on simcoe. Even during winter fishing.

I caught three in total all on the same spot. No clippings.

A cloud of bait would come in,then a herring cloud. Under them was a few fish scattering around. I could see them on the graph going up into the bait and coming back down. That was a cool thing to see. Love the real time.

They hit a 1/2 an 1/2 williams.

Hungry little buggers.

A mix of these buggers.

Had one to the surface thought I had a 3 pound small lake trout on. One of the biggest herring I have seen. It flipped and spit the hook.

As always before heading out for jigg,n,I like to fish for bass. This little guy must of wanted to get away from some mean fish. Surprised he even hit the tube.

Awesome to see little lakers. Do they still do a fin clip on the stocked ones?

Im not sure Rob. lets hope the ones I caught this morning are naturals.

Nice find Brian! You think the little ones run with the big ones?,or did you pick them up in a shallower depth?.

Dave,I was in 67 fow.

I would think you wouldn't find many big ones in 67' of water this time of year in that lake. He would make a nice snack for the ones I've seen lol.

You be surprised what I marked in 67-80 fow out there. I have caught trout and whities out there during the summer months. Yesterday out off Oro,I was marking and had chasers in 70 fow. Marked lots then and today..
