jedimaster Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 Toronto is a mess. I will post back some details in a bit. At work the power out til 5am at Jane and st clair. Miss got power at 11pm.
jedimaster Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 Highways are not flooded but some ramps are flooded and lots of sink holes. 35k homes without power in West end of gta. Some subways are closed still
motv8tr Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I had to work last night, the only subways still closed are from Kipling to Jane due to flooding of a sub station, everything else was back up and running when I left there at 5am. Glad everyone seems to be ok, up in in Penetang there was only an hour of rain before I headed out to work at 7:30 last night...not sure if it rained again...now it's clear skies and sunshine here... Hopefully a quieter night tonight...

4x4bassin Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I was working last night at the airport (Pearson) and I can say I have never seen or worked in rain like that in my life . It was like someone was dumping buckets of water on my head for 2 hours . The airport was in and out of red alerts for 3 hours and the ramp areas were completely flooded ! Crazy weather indeed .
ehg Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Pearson recorded 126 mm of rain to set all time one day record rainfall beating Hurricane Hazel. Once in a lifetime event.
mercman Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 so this is why I didn't get my orders from yesterday. Thought maybe there was a snow storm
davey buoy Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Still Kipling, from Belfield, south to Dixon, and over to Islington lights are all out.4 lane main streets, with a turn lane I may add, treat it as you would a 4 way, well you could only imagine the horns and close calls I saw. People need to wind down a bit.Things take time!!.
OhioFisherman Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Weather, don't ya just love it? We had a great spring here, then they officially announced the start of summer and the rains started. We are under a tornado watch right now, and I think we have only had 2 dry days since summer started.
Fisherman Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I hear ya, it seems like it's going t be one of those summers that wasn't. I don't think we have had one decent rain free weekend since way back in the spring months. Sun goes down friday night and shows back up sunday afternoon.
jedimaster Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 Last Saturday was pretty good. Got a sunburn while fishing. But yah for the most part it's been really wet.
DRIFTER_016 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 The old saying was: "what follows two days of rain in Ontario?" Answer: "Monday!!!"
