fish_finder
Managed to sneak away from the city for the long weekend. Spent all three nights sleeping beside the river. A few pics from the adventure. Spent a bit of time in the afternoons foraging for tasty wild edibles....one of my favourite spring time treats - wild leeks! And a couple of the nicer fish. A couple more weeks until the Green Drakes start doing their thing out there. Can't wait!

Musky or Specks
Some very beautiful fish there. I spent all day doing the chuck and duck at logjams yesterday trying to catch some decent browns. Lost one about fifteen inches but that's all the luck I managed to have. Did watch a spent steelhead doing nose to tail rises at the tailout of a pool. Wish I would have had the proper filter that I could have caught it on video for everyone. I love wild leeks and wild garlic. Edited May 22, 2013 by Musky or Specks

Rod Caster
The leaks look very similar to wild garlic...which I'll be eating tonight, along with fiddleheads and splake! Any tips on telling the difference other than smell/taste?
