brkygetr Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 i got a few older buddies from Timmins and they tell me they have also seen an albino in some area down there....not sure where Harwood Lake is but if it south east of Timmins its probably in the right area
Mattones Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 i wouldnt take a albino moose but i would take an albino deer. But thats me saying it now but if it ever walked infront of me I would prob be frozen stiff.
lunkerbasshunter Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 unique creatures for sure!!! Cheers!
Jonny Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Horwood Lake is near Foleyet, west of Timmins. White moose have been well-known in that area for years. Very impressive.
Radnine Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) It's the other white meat... Hee Hee Hee Edited November 2, 2009 by Radnine
Greencoachdog Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 ... when you knock all the snow off of them with a 30.06 round, they look different!
Jonny Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 To quote the photographer: This photo was taken a couple weeks ago while hunting at Horwood Lake (near Timmins). The white moose is protected in this area for obvious reasons, and the only shooting going on this day was with my camera. That would be a fairly new thing, if accurate. They were never protected before.
