ccmtcanada Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I know I dont take the best pics, but I thought I'd start a thread in the photography section on the lunar eclipse. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix point and shoot with 10X optical zoom. I only had one shot turn out...the first in this series. My 15 year old daughter has a natural eye and is more tech savvy than I...the rest of the pics are hers. The last shot is my daughter's fav...she captured the man in the moon....only he's wearing sunglasses she said I'm looking forward to other pics on here from people who know what they are actually doing!!
Kawartha Kev Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I posted these pics in another thread on the main board but here they are again in case you missed them. Enjoy Kawartha Kev The Eclipse Begins The Eclipse Continues And Continues Eclipse Totality Eclipse Totality with some Stars
evster Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I tried to get a couple from my deck, wasn't feeling ambitious enough to go out and try for a scene. Here's what I got. Pretty much the same as everyone else .
huntervasili Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Man all these moon pics and in almost all of them I can see your finger is cutting out part of the moon cause your covering the lens. Nice pics guys, I got to catch it on my way out of work but its neat to see the pics too
Wulff Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Nothing wrong with those ccm. I processed a few of mine last night. Just installed CS3 and wanted to try it out. Once Im more familiar with it I'll do more or redo what I've done. Before the eclipse started I wanted to experiment with stacked TCs. While the extra glass and manually foucsing took a toll on image quality the result was ok. Full moon at 1,100mm ( as a result of stacking TCs) and cropped. And heres a couple eclipse shots at 730mm and cropped a bit.
ccmtcanada Posted February 22, 2008 Author Report Posted February 22, 2008 Wow Wulff...the detail in your shots are amazing! Good job everyone!
irishfield Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 (edited) Dang double glass windows kept me from taking any pictures from the Bond Hotel window... had a perfect view of the moon though... both inside and outside the hotel window! Edited February 22, 2008 by irishfield
