What mine is that...we are working on the new power plants 55km back NW of White river

In the Sault area we can almost always fish for Jan and some years sooner. Snow trails were groomed and open Dec 5 last year. I am seriously considering taking the boat this weekend and we will not be on any ice for Jan 1 no way no how. I don't even think there is a chance of going to Wawa for ice this year. My daughter has 14" of ice but that is a really long drive

Actually lots of times going to the US the customs officers like to chat a bit as well..one asked where we were heading and them proceeded to offer advice on the best restaraunts in the area...

I do agree with not supporting the MNRF. People have been fishing there for 50 years, and now there are not enough fish? They have been seeing decline for years, studied it and identified the problems, and all they do is nothing Thats some good government there

I'm not against its use. I am against full legalization after it being illegal for so many years. I envision very many problems with total lagalization. Many being our government enacting expensive, unenforcable and confusing laws around its use, control and sales. Mostly I don't think the government has the smarts to handle it, not the people. The way the governments are looking at the cash they get really scares me. Just do a simple decriminalization and forget it, but Trudeau made a promise so we all will suffer him trying to keep it.

I would be much happier with decriminalizing rather than legalizing but the govt is seeing dollar signs. And just leave the medical users alone...they have enough troubles as it is...sheesh I really can't understand how over the years they have put so many people in jail for it and now for the sake of a few bucks all the politicians are salivating over how much money they will get to take from people over it...thats the criminal part

Sounds like fun times...its almost always easy crossing here...where do you live...Sault Canada..k..bye sometimes in winter they ask how the trails are

Can you just imagine the regulation that will come out of this. The cost of making laws is astronomical but everybody figures they just Happen. It would be fine if they just made it legal but our government has an ingrown NEED to Control the people The one that really blows me away is the bicycle helmet law for under 16 yo kids. I never see it enforced but it cost millions to enact

I love catching them splake...sure we had ice and snow to get to my favorite lake...thanks for the post and pics

Trudeau said he was going to legalize pot...why can't the government leave it at that. There is a distribution and sales network operating right now and it is tax free. What is the government going to do for pot smokers other than grab a bunch of money. Kathleen just has dollar signs in her eyes...who said she should be able to tax something that has been illegal for years...it just doesn't make sense

Can you make a raised deck for the atv and put the sled under the floor?

You could build a decent enough pontoon boat with trailer that you could take it out for the winter and access a lot of lakes. A friend of mine has a 22' pontoon that he puts in at the trestle at 92. From there its like 30 miles up the lake...lots of decent fishing for the summer and you could tie it lots of places where it would be pretty safe for when you are not there...just gotta watch water levels because of the dams. Lots of other back lakes though..it actually sounds like a good idea. Let me know if you need a bit of aluminum framing for it
