seller doesn't offer that service. buyer, as well as myself, like to pay for such services, from qualified professionals....that way if there are any issues relating to towing, there is a pathway to potential recourse. i was just hoping to find someone who has used a trailer shop, or similar, who has done this type of work. thanks all

more than half of that arena is there for free. tickets go up 70%, more than half that arena is still there for free.
-
why? they are a business.

I have a friend at work who just purchased a new rig from Port Colborne marine and is looking to have the trailer converted to a swing tongue. anyone have that done to their trailer and could personally recommend a shop? thanks, Steve

Last Debate - Smokercraft Pro 162 XL vs. Alumacraft Competitor 165 Sport

i would respectfully have to disagree hirk. but that's why everyone has their own choice in motor brands. -
Special mate spoon tackle boxes locally? Where?
Steve replied to buick14's topic in General Discussion
many places carry the CRANK BAIT box (the one with the dividers). finding a SPOON BOX (no dividers, as the dividers aren't wide enough for most mag spoons) is tougher. -
this is what i suggest. once bass opens, go to bay of quinte. get into the shallows, especially around muskote bay (part of big bay). use exactly what you would use for bass, and you likely will catch some bowfin. they fight way harder than bass, and are way meaner. the two biggest bowfin we caught came on a spinnerbait fished in between thick weeds and a pulse worm swam ontop of lilly pads. the second one hit three times in a row before I managed to hook it... there are also some lakes in bruce county with even better numbers, but i'm less familiar with them. they fight real strong and are likely more fun to catch than many of our "sport fish". also, the grand river gets a nice bowfin spawn in about 3 weeks time. go into the shallows, very shallow (less than 3') and use dew worms. the males will have their spawning colours...bright neon green fins. hope this helps. bowfin are awesome fish!

hirk, you know, as well as I do, why merc sells that many more motors than yammy. and it has nothing to do with quality. -
Extra flavour for those yummy Hamilton Harbour Perch
Steve replied to Steve's topic in General Discussion
and I can't believe the amount of folks who continue to eat (and advocate the eating) of perch from the harbour. we get 3 - 6 overflows where pure raw sewage is dumped into the harbour yearly. (source: RBG Rap Report) -
from the spec: McKinnon said the city has electricians working on the problem now. “We’ve only had a half-a-dozen calls so far; hopefully, we’ll have the problem resolved soon,” he said. The steady rain over the last few days has also forced the city to “bypass’ untreated sewage into Red Hill Creek from the overwhelmed treatment plant, he said. I'm quite sure the local shops will still be saying eating the fish from the harbour is a-ok....
-
glen, your not going to find a lake 2 hours from barrie if all your looking for is a feed. that's the problem. folks only care to feed. hence no fish. if you stock, then they get eaten. where's the logic in that? i don't see the difference in buying fish from a store and catching stocked fish from a lake..... you get your feed either way.

chase first? browns, started back in january. salmon soon! also, catfish when the winds are up. april = best month of the entire year!

gbw, have a look at the winning products, and see if they are jp's sponsors. you may find a connection between the winning products and his sponsors. just maybe.

crosby is made of glass. if the injury is 6-8 weeks, he'll take 10 to recover.

so many talk about only stripping salmon as they are half dying or dead. HOWEVER, 90% of rainbow anglers want to strip full living BROWN roe... so give yourself a headshake if you think its only salmon that are being stripped. remove the use of roe and remove the unnecessary carniage towards a species that IS NOT dying when they enter the rivers - only dies when their stomachs are ripped open from a lugan. now we'll get guys chiming in that it is allowed as they are harvesting the fish part of their legal right - FINE. but don't speak like anglers are only stripping dead or dying chinooks.

What crazy things do you do waiting for opening?
Steve replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
i agree. actually, i'd go five pin bowling before ice fishing. but casting from a boat in december/january/february/march or a pier in the same months - something special to be said for that. work is just as crazy in january as it is in july. therefore a release from work though fishing is just as enjoyable in january as it is in july. -
all of this nonsense talk...praise atlantics! if we can allow just one river fisherman to cach just one atlantic - it will all be worth while. ugh.

bronte, lasalle, bayfront park, grimsby launch, jordan harbour, pt dalhousie, queenston .... ALL open launches.

insane how many anglers don't fish our year 'round opportunities. bass "only" fisherman are the hardest to understand. Half june, july, august, and september (most end at thanksgiving weekend). well less than half the year for fishing. lets enjoy what nature has to offer ... -
I know i'd appreciate a BenRiach Speyside Single Malt aged 15 years non chill filtered in dark rum wood finish. Best of both worlds. A beauty single malt finished in dark rum barrels.

i go fishing. there isn't a month of the year that in Ontario you can't go fishing .... and I don't mean ice fishing. -
the issue with canadian tire chargers is the new "smart" digital ones. i still use two of the old ones with the simple four button, and the analog display..work like a charm. i went to buy a backup, it was an intellicharge digital one...cooked my battery. have to take a close look at which one your buying. i use the one shown here. one in black, one in blue. (not my photo)

man to have fished quinte in the 90's. since 2002 when I started fishing quinte, and following it very closely (including the message boards) i've yet to see a picture of a 16lbs'er (aside from ole mallards). i know the guides have put an informal bounty in place for a real 16lbs'er...they too have not seen one in the 2000's - cept for jimmy johnson who caught a 16 on camera with angler/hunter tv. but i've heard of all kinds of big fish in the 90's....just not since. my boat has not cracked 15lbs. still dreamin'.

this 34.5" walleye was released December 2008. Biggest on my boat. Damn fathers!
