burt... isn't that the brown raping hole?
-
ya, one of my TD's had the lip come off as well.... strange thing was I was fishing 100+' of water at Quinte....no way it hit bottom.... just reeled in the lip still attached to my line, without a lure attached.
-
only real issues i've had with rapala (outside of their garbage rods and reels) is the tail dancers paint chipping off... didn't get any resolution to that issue.
-
bisco is ok...but certainly not great fishing - especially for how far north it is.... 12" walleye can get boring.

i do 104km a day - but that inclues driving wife to work and picking her up on the way home. i work in west mississauga (more oakville/miss border) - live in Hamilton. I've been offered much more to work in downtown toronto....walking distance from union station. i've politely declined each time.....i don't want my 45 minute (one way) commute to turn into a 1.5 hour commute each way --- and be a slave to the train.

just keep an eye on their RAISING prices. BEFORE, Shimano claimed almost 15% of a rod cost (in some cases 20%) is for the expected warranty returns. So, right off the mark, the prices should have dropped 15%. OF COURSE they didn't. I've been told by a local shimano rep that next year we will see another raise in prices. Shimano is only out for one thing - your wallet. Their quality has been dramatically decreasing over the last five years. Their unwillingness to work with left handed bait casters is remarkable. I personally hope Shimano's sales drops drastically over the next couple years - that way whom ever made these decisions get shown the door. THANKFULLY they are some real nice rods currently in the market with MUCH better warranties...and in some cases, cheaper. Like Bunk, when you use your tackle a lot - and I mean every week/weekend (not just for a "season"), you will see broken rods....I can't count on both my hands the number of broken rods I've had over the last 10 years.

is that the catch and keep tournie? not many of them left around any more. have fun, good luck, and catch the biggie!

i bought one for where dad sits.... they are ok...but not great.

no license required if not fishing.... but if your in the GOSD derby - the derby responsible for keeping more new anglers off the water during the derby days - you will not be eligible to weigh in a fish unless everyone on board has a derby ticket.

there is a senko colour called rainbow trout. it differs from watermellon. i can't add much else to this thread, as I generally only fish senko's in heavy cover, and as such, only use the Texax Rig.

and if you had the population of southern ontario, you would understand. (as such, I'll excuse your "wow") -

they actually were filming a big freighter moving through the canal when the OPP was being interviewed. the copper mentioned the port authority is aware of the time per hour of the lift and will be advising the freighters accordingly. it would be nice if they post the time per hour of the lift so the rec boaters aren't guessing when it'll be. -

your right Lew. it even goes further. if your a boater in the harbour, due to the traffic issues, they are only raising the lift bridge once an hour....and this, I understand, is 24 hours a day. So if you use the lift bridge launch, and want to fish lake ontario, and cannot get underneath the bridge, you'll have to wait to the "once an hour" lift.... in the past it would be lifted as needed...which could be as much as five-six times an hour. as a result, many boats are going to be waiting a long time to get out of the harbour.... if you are a boater that can't fit underneath, maybe it would be best to find a new launch for this weekend. -

an aside, rosehill construction can't get lucky.... concreate goes under....bonds called on all mto jobs.... restructures to be rosehill construction, gets all the contracts to complete the jobs that concreate failed.....including this bridge. a drunk idiot drives into their construction project....causing huge issues beyond what the newspapers are reporting. some companies just have bad luck. -
take the drive. demorestville creek. still clear enough for good footage.

this thread, and all related to this topics, fall back on one common element. one law for all. and all must follow - not only when they feel fit to. it is the same theme whether talking spearing in Quinte, nipissing netting, or netting on GB. one law for all. and all must obey.
-
awesome!!! hillarious. "five, ten minutes ... " this had me laughin!!!
-
I guess I need to re-read the constitution, especially the part that allows for this crap: Can't change laws that some folks choose not to follow. The laws are in place. They are clear. Don't need to change them. Just need to have EVERYONE follow them.
-
bushart, you are stating that we should respect and follow the laws. why is it ok for others not to? shouldn't it be ONE FREAKING LAW!!!!!!! Living near Caledonia and watching the DCE bullcrap over the last decade, it is VERY CLEAR who follows laws and who does not. Maybe instead of spouting the Constitution, you should do some reading about who follows the laws and who does not!!! Or I guess when indians make up laws as they feel fit, they are actually following their laws. We can't do that. We have to follow real laws. I wish I could make up my own laws.

well, simply put, I don't agree that if you drive "too fast" you get a free pass. I don't agree that allowing the biker to put other folks in the public in danger is any different than a cop driving with his / her lights on putting people in danger. but again, that's just me. cops should do their job. when else can you break the law, but if you break it "too badly" you get a free pass to drive away.... its absolutely crazy for me to wrap my head around. if someone is speeding, and you catch them in a radar trap, you go get them....

lew, I think things were a little different back then because not everyone was trying to make their dollar off the industry - they were simply talking fishing. now, removing the NF posts, I'd wager 50% of the fishing posts now someone is trying to sell something.... so many folks today are trying to make dollars off fishing so you never know who to trust and what to try. a seasoned angler can look through 90% of the crap, but to someone who is just getting started, it can be difficult to sort out the fluff and find the true meat.
