cops have radio's. cops are everywhere. cops should not "give up" because "they" are too slow. reading motorcycle forums on the net, its well known that if you see a radar, and your speeding, SPEED UP! cops will say "it's too dangerous" to chase. what they are actually saying is "we are too lazy, and there is another car going 25km above the limit coming right around the bend".

I worked long and hard for my first Nickel largie. I finally caught my first on this beat up Pulsator. Still ran true and straight with that long worm trailer (cut down power worm).

garnet, the nichols, due to their style of blaids, also make for the best burning spinnerbait on the market.... that technique is generally used for largies. yes, it can be slow rolled as well, and due to the blades, can go deeper, (which is why your thinking smallies). but those blaids are also perfect for burning....

mikethebassfisher, you stole my spinnerbait the nichols pulsator is the best spinnerbait on the market in my opinion....but just that ... my opinion....once we find the "right" spinnerbait, no matter the brand, then we are happy. but if your an angler who is still "looking", have a look the pulsator. Nichols just was purchased by a young fella in the southern USA. He's a good guy and is working hard. The old owners were a sweet old couple ... when you placed an order the older lady would talk your ear off about fishing pickwick. I love it!! edit: you can tell the difference between the original pulsator and the new pulsator from the new owners by the "eye" on the head of the spinnerbait. No eye on the original.

just use it. are you near hamilton? you really can't be using medium action ugly sticks fishing st clair for muskie.... my first trip on that lake brought me a 47" muskie that weighed 33lbs. it almost broke my xtra heavy muskie rod in half. if you hook that fish you're breaking your rod and your heart....

I don't know what to suggest, as I don't yet have the joy of a child. However, I can only imagine the feeling you have right now. At first I was going to say, "take lots of photo's". but at second thought .... just enjoy it. enjoy the time. you'll remember it forever (and so will your son). If you are, I have a heavy action st croix premiere spinning rod you can have. still not "perfect" for what your doing (st clair), but MUCH better than what you currently have. its only 7' and should be easy enough to use in your boat. My father used it for bass fishing the heavy slop....but his hands wont allow him to do that type of fishing anymore...and if you saw my bass opener report, he kicks my butt drifting senko's off the slop either way. You know, I'm not going to have much use for that Sahara 3000 either. If you promise to fill it with 50lbs braid and use the flouro lead I'm going to give you (80lbs seagur muskie flouro lead), then you can have the reel as well.

that they sure did! I remember when I got hired at the shop I was "hesitant" working with leeches. that changed quickly. they were our top selling bait! i still think there isn't a better bait out there for catching smallies....

geez. seriously? when I worked at the bait and tackle shop in the mid 90's, we sold a pound of leaches for under $20.
