  1. Geez Randy, forgot to add the fuel pump. But that's OK, it's just a "normal" repair too.
  2. Add a couple more. Tie rod ends, clunking steering columns (they still haven't fixed this), blower motor resistors come to mind as well. Ha ......ya they do ride nice.
  3. ok.....whatever. You live i New York I see. I have relatives in Auburn.
  4. Careful with coolers, don't get one too large. There is a reason they run the coolers though the coolant in the radiator. If your fluid becomes too cold in frigid temperatures it is possible the fluid becomes so cold it thickens to the point it restricts the flow through the cooler system and your trans could overheat.
  5. Deleted....Changed my mind
  6. I am very sorry about the loss of your mother Tom. My deepest condolences go out to you.
  7. I agree. Does anyone remember Windows ME? Awful!
  8. Sam , this past weekend I had enough of Vista on my home desktop. I tried, really I did. But Vista it seems had taken control and I could no longer change things on my programs. This was the second time I had experienced this as my laptop had gone wierd too couple months ago. Back to XP on both now. Actually find it easier to navigate and control and all my computers can share files again on my network. Vista had some nice features but I can't remember what they were . PS ps. I am experimenting with Ubuntu now. Slowly.
  9. Recent mild weather will have significantly reduced ice thickness since dec 25th. A young fellow that works with us here reported Wasi lake open in the center this morning. Talked to Mark from Anglers Haven a few minutes ago. He will give me a report as soon as he goes out to check things out today or tomorrow.
  10. Everything is suddenly white again. Snow is going by my window sideways.
  11. If I see any of your stuff blowing by I will let you know Wayne.
  12. Haven't seen that site before Woodsman. Thanks for that.
  13. Windy up here too. Watched a light show across the street as a wire broke and crossed another. We still have power but all the niegbours across the street don't. Glad of that because my sump is running almost steady as well.
  14. Dennis at Icebungalows is a good spot as mistyriver says. Marc at Anglers Haven is also a good operation. www.anglershaven.ca Also new last year was Paul Toswell at the South Bay as well. sbaybungalows.ca/directions.php
  15. HO HO HO HO ....Merry Christmas to one and all !!!! :santa:
  16. Wow, Wayne you sure wouldn't think so the last three days. Everybody was in a panic. I asked a few of them "how long has it been doing that?" Sheepishly they would reply "for a few days but I was hoping it would go away" Anyway we worked late yesterday to get them going. I didn't book anything else today.
  17. I know I'm off for a few days and hopefully get to unwind and slow down for a bit. But the forum it seems has also slowed down. Lots of lag. Everything else seems ok here.
  18. I'll be there later Coach. See you then.
  19. Very interesting douG. 500 years before the great pyramids.............. That's before Roy was born.
  20. Been 8 weeks for me now. Quit cold turkey- nothing other than a solid determination to quit. Big cravings have now gone. And no more weird dreams about smoking (you were right on with that Daplumma). Was at our Christmas party last night and admit it was tempting but didn't do it. When I quit I was away from normal routine for a week at the hunt camp. Then a week of normal routine and back to the hunt camp for another week. It's a habit, a really bad one too, so a different routine really helped me. Drink your morning coffee at a different time or better yet change to orange juice. Take a lunch with good things to eat in it. Carrot sticks are a good idea. Do different things than what you normally do, like maybe visit the library or build something or go for a walk (you get what I mean). Support from friends (including here) and family are critical, really listen to them and what they are trying to tell you. They tell you these things because they care and do not want to see you continue something that is hurting you. Create yourself a definitive mindset. I AM GOING TO BEAT THIS!! And stick with it man! DO IT ! Am I ever happy to see this post from you G !
  21. If there was a tree in it I didn't notice it. Had to look again. By golly gee there is a tree there!
  22. I also agree Rich definitely needs to be in there too. Really enjoy his humor.
  23. Hmmm. I kind of liked the picture of the racks you sent me in that last e-mail better. :w00t:
  24. Looking good for a trip over to the island on Boxing day. Making ice like crazy now at -22c. If we can just keep those snow storms to the south of us all will be great.
  25. WINTER Poem It's winter in Canada And the gentle breezes blow Seventy miles an hour At thirty-five below. Oh, how I love Canada When the snow's up to your butt You take a breath of winter And your nose gets frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful So I guess I'll hang around I could never leave Canada Cuz I'm frozen to the ground!
