Seen on a fishing show this morning GL Loomis was going to bring their rod manufacturing back to USA from China.
-
Henry I am aware you are connected to selling Legend watercraft. As with most any manufactured product sold there may be an issue happen from time to time. Otherwise there would not be mechanics. Crestliner is working hard to rectify the situation in this case. If we want to get into slamming each others product I'm sure I don't need to think too hard.

Thanks for the chuckle fellas.

Thank you again everyone Very kind of you all. Didn't get out of the shop in time to get fishing. Maybe tomorrow

Thank you ! So nice of you guys to notice. Heading to the lake this afternoon!

They won't have many if at all any in the market Craig. Like I said, there is more to the story.
-
Hey Buster, you didn't happen to weigh it did you?
-
Craig there is more to the story. This is essentially the same engine as the 25 ETEC. The injectors are larger than they need to be for a 15 as well as the block and internal parts. The size will come down in the future as the engineering and design is done. This is incredibly expensive to do as you are probably aware. So then the manufacturer needs to weigh in - is this economically feasible? Supply and demand is dictated by sales. If this process is undertaken will they sell enough of them to make a profit? Could be a gamble. BRP has some very talented people throughout the world, some they had and some they acquired when they took over OMC. Not many are going to buy a small engine made here if they can purchase one made over seas for half price. I don't like it either but seems to be the way it is at this time. This is just a brief glimpse Craig, still a lot more to it. Maybe someday we can sit down and chat about it all.

I took the hood off of one at the boat show Craig. It appears to be well made although too large for a 15. They will get them smaller in the future. Very good technology though. I bet they will be fuel misers.

While this one isn't a neck snapper it does cruise along nicely. And for me I'll take a Quadrajet over a gas guzzling Holley anytime.

Agree with Dara there Hellfish. The hwy 17 corridor is much more scenic. Truckers like the Hwy 11 route as it's less hills, but somewhat....no make that quite boring after you get past Temagami.

Very nice picture Splashhopper.

While one or two sessions of ice fishing are OK, The view from inside the cottage is still OK that time of year, the summertime is still what I love. Give me open blue waters......Ahhhhh And time with good friends.

lets talk conservation areas private properties

As far as I know, around here anyway, there is no law preventing someone from carrying a firearm on their own property at anytime. And if a trespasser happens to be around at the same time..... Who is breaking the law? Not advocating confrontation here, just that people should have respect for those that do not want trespassers. It is a landowners right, chances are the landowner has worked hard to acquire the property. -
The spring fishing show several years back was definitely superior. It was more oriented towards fishing and everything I wanted and more was there to see. The last one I attended was...well.....it sucked big time. The sportsman show has all aspects of outdoor fun and would likely appeal to most enthusiasts attending.

Had a Mercedes convertible V8 at 160 MPH, a Ski-doo 115 MPH and a boat at 85 MPH. The boat at 85 was the only one that made me shake after the run. It wasn't designed to run that fast. Chine walkers scare the hell outa me.

LOL. Jim, you a partial knob? Ha, no, not at all. I really enjoyed meeting you and having a good conversation. Hopefully next time it will be in a situation where we can have more time to sit down and yak fishing. Joe I was hoping you had the chance to swing by but your family would be disappointed if you missed your birthday party. You look a little younger than 70 though, I would have said not a day over 65.

In my little town we sit on one of the greatest aquifers in the world. And until the water scare a few years back nothing was added to our water supply. Apparently it didn't even need to be filtered but is. Now chlorine is added just because it's legislated. Sad really. But to answer your question Cliff, no I personally don't use bottled water.
-
Well....sort of Roy. Let's just say a division of it.
-
I'll be there Radnine. Stop by the Crestliner display, I'll be hanging out there for the weekend.
-
Hey Gerritt it's good to see you actually working. Now that I see your handiwork you may not get off so easy the next time. If you are so inclined I'll be at the boat show this weekend hanging out at the Crestliner display. C'mon over and we will yak about some ice fishing soon.

Carole it saddens me that I am reading this. Not sure why it has to happen but I do wish you well. Please do come by and check on us again.

Anytime Lew. If the time ever comes and you need a little help with anything give me a holler.

Very nice ride Lew. Several of my regular customers have well over 300,000 k on the 5.4 without any major issues. Never had one of those engines apart, none of my customers has had an engine issue. Having regular maintainance done goes a long way towards the longevity. They had ignition coil and spark plug problems in the past but they have improved those issues in the new models. One thing I would recommend is to keep the lever in the backing plate for the emergency brake lubricated. They have a tendency to seize if not used regularly. Also have the brake caliper slides and pins serviced once a year. It helps to keep the brakes working efficient and smooth to avoid warping the rotors. Oil the door/hood/tailgate hinges, locks and latches to prevent door pin wear and latches from from sticking. The above advise is applicable to other vehicles as well.

ATV - Problems starting in cold weather
Bernie replied to The Birdfish's topic in General Discussion
I had a similar problem with mine. Added a primer to give it a little extra fuel which really helped. And if I take it to the cottage and need a little extra heat I throw a cover over it and turn on a hair drier under it. Works like a charm.
