  1. Gordie came to my attention as a 10 month old pup in need of a new home by way of OFC member and friend John's wife Barbara ( thank you Barbara 🥰 ). After our first meeting I knew he was the right dog for me and a few days later I brought him into his new forever home, which will have been two years already in mid May. He hates the van but boy he sure does love the boat.
  2. Thank you Sir, very kind of you.
  3. Thank you Ralph. Thank you Rizzo.
  4. Doug you'll have to ask Misfish about the first time he and I met.
  5. Thanks Bill, very much appreciated my friend.
  6. Thanks ya Sir. Thank you Barry.
  7. Thank you Sir. Thank you Barry. Thanks Brian. LOL....Perhaps. Thanks Rob. Thank you Cliff.
  8. Thanks Peter.
  9. Thank you. My mind is "reeling" at the possibilities Albert. Thank you Lew. Thanks Boss.
  10. I walk my pup several times a day and lately the Coniferous trees about the neighbourhood have been shedding lot's of seed cones and I had the idea to try and make reels seats out of them. Well the first, possibly a first anywhere is now done. There's definitely room for improvement but as the first prototype out of the shop I'm very pleased with the end results. I envisioned something once completed that would resemble fish scales and by golly I believe they do. So, here it is from start to finish........
  11. Thanks Phil, hoping she'll be getting some Spring Trout and Salmon on is very soon.
  12. Blue Spruce Cone Fisherman. The neighbours front lawn is currently covered in them.
  13. Stay tuned for the end results by weeks end. Happy Easter Folks.
  14. I can't make it up tomorrow Brian but heed these words, don't be sucked into buying any dry cured hard meats. 😄 I'm betting you'll sell out your wares. Enjoy. 👍
  15. There's never been any doubt in my mind Pal. When it comes to Sheephead you Sir are without peers. 😄
  16. Adopt, hmmm, I don't know but I do know you're welcome in my home anytime Sir. You too Simon I welcome in my home anytime. Thank you Stik. Thank you Phil, most kind.
  17. Any chance we can get a clean and cook video Simon? I'd be interested in your, how you do it.
  18. Thanks David, I can't wait to get her out on the big lake with it for some spring salmon and trout action.
  19. And a reel, thanks Brian. Thank you Cliff, no grammatical errors on this one. 😄 Thank you Mamona, she'll be here an hour. She has seen it in progress but had no idea it was for her. Thank you Sir, most kind. Thank you Barry. She's not a young'n these days as she'll be 30 this year. She is however the only one of my 3 who still loves to go fishing, so ya.....I spoil her.
  20. Well I decided it was high time to put a rod longer than 7'6" into my Daughter's arsenal. She does have many options to choose from but any time a rod longer than 7'6" is needed she's had to borrow one of mine. So as a surprise that she'll see this afternoon I built her an NFC HM St 964-2 (9'6" ~ 6-12 line rating), and paired it up with a Shimano Twin Power C3000XG. I'm thinking she'll be quite surprised. 🙂
  21. Ya, I should have noted that "the other guy" is the club president, Al.
  22. I had a few more pictures sent to me this morning that I'll share with you all. Mr Chong on stage. Some of our club member Jim's antique lure collection. And of course OFC member Fish Farmer who won in the Salmon category, the Lake Trout category as well as Angler of the Year (again....lol). Congrats Farmer. 😉
  23. While I'm not overly familiar with many of the PP's I have been looking at Restoule as a possible destination this summer. It looks promising with access to a couple of lakes.
  24. Well I finally had few minutes to watch the video Simon. Is there anything finer than active Laker's on a bright sunny day on a frozen northern Ontario lake, ya that's rhetorical. Good stuff Sir. 🙂
