  1. I'm with Bucktail on this one. I have lots of Bombers and have never had one fail, mind you they are all older than 10 years. Perhaps they've shifted production to cut costs, not unheard of.
  2. Well it looks like you guys had an awesome trip though you were definitely lacking one thing......ME! Yes, I'm jealous.
  3. Seems like I'll have to wait for my kids to show up later today with their laptops. Like Joey's Lakair report the sheer number of pictures keeps crashing this poor old computer of mine......
  4. Congratulations on the fish and your win Jade. How much do you charge for guiding.
  5. Stellar..... I'm glad it worked out for yous. Been a few years since I fished that area and to be honest I was providing you with second hand, but reliable info that came from a fellow OFC'er. I hope he doesn't mind?
  6. I remember when you got your Calais Terry, wasn't long after that, that I decided to get the Calcutta. Partially based on how impressed you were with your Calais. Had mine shipped up from the states for $450.00 but I got dinged at the door for nearly another $80.00 in duty.......
  7. Calcutta TE 200DC http://fish.shimano....utta_TE_DC.html Nicest reel I own, worth every penny though I paid far less than $850.00.
  8. I read about that yesterday here...... http://www.thespec.com/News/Local/article/801065 Oddly enough I had no prior knowledge of this.
  9. However y'all spend the day I hope it's a good'n. Happy Independence Day
  10. All of the above Stan, but that was many years ago when I had more energy.
  11. No worries Tom, I have many more that are for the most part less productive than the white and I have white paint and silver laser tape so I'll likley doctor some up. Leechman had asked me earlier today (via PM) if they were body baits, offering to carve some up for me (very generous) but I told him they were spoons. A little hard to carve he tells me.
  12. That's true Joe you have and I'm still questioning the dog about all the empties but she's not saying anything. Thanks Tom. The lure in question was an old Lure King Bronte Flutter spoon in white with silver laser tape. Still killer out there so many years after they stopped making them.
  13. New rod, new reel and a new friend, you're living the good life John.
  14. Exactly John, that's why I waited for you to post that before me.
  15. Mmmmmm, perch. See Fish Farmer, I told you they were out there.
  16. Thanks Jacques, I can accept that.
  17. Hey, how come the dog get's title credit before me? She's doesn't own the boat or drive it *stupid dog*.
  18. Thanks Jacques, it was nice to get out for a bit. Problem is old faithful has been out of production for many years to the best of my knowledge.
  19. Simple, perhaps for you but the end result looks great to me.
  20. I sometimes think I'm gonna burst after consuming one too many beers.
  21. Impressive job guys! I gave it a shot last night for my first time this year, nothing big but it was good to be out there.
  22. Well we didn't get skunked. Nothing big landed, though I had my chance with a big ass rainbow that made a fool of me. I believe it was 5 boated for 7 on. Fish Farmer may have a few pics of the little ones we kept for the BBQ.
  23. Thanks Tony. I expected with the big westerlies the surface temps would be cool, I'll run a few high lines for bows. Leaving shortly.
  24. I wish I had to worry about such things.
  25. I'm heading out of the canal launch (Hamilton) later this afternoon with Fish Farmer. Anyone got any tips or starting points after the big blow?
