Took a buddies son out today, wind was strong and the waves were coming from the NW with some 4 footers, so we headed into Baie Du Dore to fish for Pike or Bass we thought and this is what we got, Josh wanted to take it home so we did, it might be getting BBQ'd as we speak Richard

Water been 69 to 72 at the out flow Richard

Down south when the Bass are on the Beds & they're sight fishing, they would put the Power Pole down but they found in wind & waves they would pivot on the one pole so a some of the Tournament guys put 2 on & it holds them still, I think they have 6' & maybe 8' poles Richard http://www.foreandaf....com/pp-003.htm

This was another good day Randy kicked my but in size but I was catching more & trying new baits Drop shotting, getting lots of practice, 16 more days until it ends, hoping to get out a few more times Richard

The wind has been nice to us the last few times out, we were catching them on Spinnerbaits, Swimbaits, Drop Shot & Tubes the gar moved in one day there was hundreds in the school had one grab a swimbait but when I got it to the boat it opened it's mouth and swam away, so we didn't fish for them long, also thousands of gizzard shad, a couple guys we talked to have been catching some walleye & a few brown over at Bruce B, mostly early or late & at night Richard

We didn't catch a lot of big ones but man did we have fun, 1st cast & my Drop Shot Slammer didn't even get down a foot and my line went sideways, lots of double headers & I lost a few nice ones trying to control the boat in the chute & net my own fish while Mitch was bringing in his Richard
