  1. Pretty sure that sled is polyethylene, if so there are very few adhesives that will permanently stick. We use PE tanks because most chemicals won't touch it, therefore most glues wont either. Our only way to repair is thermal welding but that is not cost effective for your sled. Like others said, backer plates and rivets is your best option. RED
  2. Its all good, I change many blades for customers for this exact reason. Consider it a cheap lesson. I try to tell people, place your auger down as slow as possible, if it makes any noise when it contacts the ice you were too fast, LOL. also never redrill old holes. When done drilling, it is tempting to 1/2 drill way into the ice and stand the auger up. DON'T... ice will form on the blades and you are back in the same boat. Hope this was helpfull RED
  3. Don't look up horse meat, look up 'sweet meat' as it is generally referred to. Should be able to find it. We used to eat it every now and then, havent for a while but did growing up. My uncle once said to me..'they are not all pets' referring to the horses on his beef farm.. RED
  4. Where ya going? Gilford variety has them, open at 6 i think, couple bait shops at 89/yonge st also open early
  5. Well it finally happened, we are now selling live bait. Along with the normal fishing worms and salmon Roe we now sell Live Minnows, currently Emerald Shiners $5 dz (but we can't count so ya always get extras) soon to have LG pike minnows and small panfish minnows also. And most exciting, we just got a shipment of Brown Roe in. Come get it while it lasts $40lb. Starting this saturday, we will be open Fri-Sun 6:30am Feel free to call us 519-941-4218 Dan Dufferin Outdoor Supply
  6. Leave the buckshot for the zombies, use a slug, rifled slug thru a smoothbore is just fine. Switch to cyl or IC for your choke and have at it... Dan
  7. done, lol, however some of the other ones are pretty good too...
  8. sounds like it is running with the choke slightly on all the time, most likely a simple adjustment, but I wouldn't have a clue how. Have a shop adjust it, should work fine after, mine had the same problem, shop fixed it within 5 mins RED
  9. Time for our Grand Re-Opening, if you are in the area, come on in and say hi. 10. Great saw, got the same one> It will bog down when you really give er, but it wont kick back on ya. Keep a spare chain with ya, and keep it out of the dirt and you will cut many chord of wood with it. 5 years on mine now and I just replaced the bar this spring. I burn 8-10 BC a winter, it has cut every piece RED
  11. The aluminum wont hold up to the heat, tried it before, what i did was use an old grill from another bbq, and put the ceramic bricks into it just like the old days, 2 years now and still going... RED
  12. Fished there a few times, a buddies cottage is right near the boat launch. Its a nice lake, real deep and 10lb lakers can be had there. Bass fishing is real good as is the walleye. It can be tough to fish, but be sure to take 3.5" tube jigs and white swammers (caught my first laker there on a swammer) Good luck to ya RED
  13. Just remember, ya get what you pay for. $130 would be about your minimum for a quality camera, look at Spypoints, U-ways, moultrie's. Be sure to lock it up as it is just as easy to steal the camera as the wood. For security, I like to put the camera about 10' up in a tree and aim it down. The theif most likely won't look up so the IR flash won't be notice. Also unless he brings a ladder with him, it will be real hard to steal. I do like the gunpowder in the log idea, LOL RED
  14. Where on the grand are you thinking. Belwood and upper grand there are lots of spots. May have some trouble with the rapids south of Elora though Further south I dont know much about it. RED
  15. Yup, like they said, braid is slipping. You can put the mono for backing, or like I do, just put a small strip of hockey tape around the spool befor putting the line on, it wont slip. Two dumb questions, did ya remove the label that is on many spools before putting the line on? Did you put any tension on the line while spooling it up? If you turn the spool by hand and it clicks and the tension goes up and down when you turn the knob, it is line slipping. RED
  16. Archbolds custom upholstery in Orangeville, seen many boat covers done by them. Had a new winter storage cover made for my Lund there last year and am very pleased with the results. The website isn't much to look at but they do great work http://www.archbolds.ca/ RED
  17. Customer got a few like this 2 weeks ago, id say its worth hitting..

    Got an itch

Ya, I think I may hit the hard water instead.
  19. Just wondering if anybody has checked the river up by Southampton lately. Got the itch for some steelies but need to know if it is frozen over or if there are some spots I can drift a float. Any help would be appreciated. Dan
  20. Forget the vacuum, try a fan. Bench will be clean, may not be too happy with the rest of the room but....
  21. If the suicide door isn't completely closed, it will make alot of noise. Slam the back doors closed then the fronts. If the noise is gone then you have it. Hinges are also a problem, but I would check one other thing also. Has the stereo been upgraded? If someone has put new speakers in the doors, alot of times they dont bother putting the insulation/plastic barrier back in and that really lets the road noise in...If that is the case, do as the previous poster suggested...turn up the stereo RED
  22. Thanks guys, I decided to stay home< rained pretty good last night< might try when it cools off a wee bit... RED
  23. Just wondering, with the temps and the melt I would think the levels would be high or even blown out. My head out tomorrow, just need to know should I head north or south... RED
  24. Well hold on to your hats boys and girls. Last year in my store I sold over 17k in MNR licences, fishing, hunting etc. My last count was 12 boxes(50 each box) fishing and 9 boxes hunting regulations. Well I just received 1 box 2013 fishing regs, and when I called to request more I was told that they are not printing anymore and it will be the same with the hunting regs. I box per store.. Like sheep we are all supposed to go online for the regs now. So if you got a copy, hang onto it, there won't be anymore. I don't think I am going to like the backlash from customers, Time for a call to my local MPP, I suggest that everybody else do the same... Just my morning rant... RED
