  3. Is it possible that they did purchase a rod and reel combo, and the daughter not really knowing any differently grabbed your rod by mistake one evening and it has just been assumed that is hers? I have a pile of rod combos at my cottage, and when kids are involved, the wrong ones are sometimes used or taken home at the end of the weekend. Any combos laying around that you don't recognize? Dan
  4. A deal at twice the price where you can find them nowadays it is usually between $6-$8doz. I am $6.50 if you are heading out to Belwood or Euginia or want to fish the grand... Dan
  5. yes its worth paying the fees, good numbers of turkeys and deer in many of the tracts Dan
  6. I don't know Woody, I just started selling bait at my store here in Orangeville at christmas time. You wouldn't beleive the pains I went thru to find suppliers to buy from. I got my first lead from a forum much like this one and slowly found the suppliers that I want to use. Now I am fully stocked. (shameless plug, LOL) Dan
  7. If its personal posession, you can't have that many anymore. If you have your bait dealers licence, I will put you in contact with my supplier, he comes up your way weekly. Dan PM me if you want info
  8. Honestly, even tho it is a good truck for you, it is worth little more than scrap for a dealer. They might give you $700-1000 just to get your business, but it will be hauled right to the scrap yard afterward. Try Kijiji, list it for $2500 and take the first $1500 that someone offers you. JMO DAN
  9. never happened, didn't count. man that sucks. Thats worse than a lone hand in red and your partner makes it black in euchre...
  10. Tip it with half a worm, one of my favorite lures, all red or red and white..
  11. Where in Toronto? Do they have a car? If you want the Credit, go to Erindale park, there should be steelies still there, lots of suckers etc. Grenedier Pond has lots of garbage fish and the odd body part to catch, LOL. Humber river, Try Marie Curtis Park near Browns line. All public access, no police involved, lol Dan
  12. My 2 cents worth, putting backing on will save you in the long run but is more expensive to start with. But just learning I would suggest just filling the reel with mono. A spool of Raven is only $13. Put backing on the next time you go to change the line. JMO Dan
  13. There are only 3 times in life when nobody will judge a man for crying openly. #1 when your parents die, #2 when your child is born, #3 when you have to put your best friend down. Chin up Dan
  14. Simcoe was always a sure bet, but havent been in years. Might be worth a trip up to IBP around 10pm to check and see, think the water is still too cold tho... Rumor has it the smelt population is way down but not sure on that one... Dan
  15. Lake O i would definately say the 30's GBay 20's are fine. If you decide to run braid then the 20's would be fine... IMO Dan

  17. I have heard of this rock throwing lady from a few people, Has anybody tried to have her charged with interfering with your right to hunt or fish unmolested? I might have the CO's # on my phone just in case, naaa, like others said, move on, good hole just around the bend... DAN
  18. Thats awsome, LOL. I got a bunch of old ones down at the cottage that I got to check out now, never noticed that before. Talk about 'fish porn' RED
  19. Sorry I was under the assumption that you were referring to Sika 122 0r 123 which is a grout/patching product that I used for many years patching swimming pools. It has a wee bit of flex but nowhere near PU. And I agree, Hydraulic is a temporary patch until the proper repair can be made from the outside
  20. Here are my 2 cents worth. Sika will work...sometimes, Injection will work more often than not, only proper repair is from the outside. Now let me explain. Concrete foundations will always crack but it may never be a problem if your drainage is proper outside. This winter has been severe compared to the last 10 years and therefore there will be a whole whack of leaks this spring that don't usually happen and if left untreated may not happen for another 10 years. These types of cracks can usually be patched with Sika or any number of hydraulic cements with sucess. Where this type of repair will fail is if there is any movement in the crack. If this leak is in a crack that has just recently appeared you have some bigger issues. Injection repairs are much better for newer cracks as there is more 'flex' to the product than cement. $450 is cheap compared to an insurance claim if you get a flood. If you do the patch, chip out the crack a minimum of 1/2" deep and 1/2" wide, dont just put frosting on the cake... and when possible(summer) dig down from the outside and tar and felt the crack properly. Good luck Dan
  21. I too got one last night but upon further inspection, these are reconditioned units. Minor scratches and not in the bag inside the box.. Don't really care too much so long as it works. Oh ya I took it out of the box and just turned the dial to pilot and the pilot light lit up even though I havent even put any propane bottles in yet, LOL. It was also labeled at $133 but they let it go for $79 when I pressed them. Mississauga store. Still lots left Dan
  22. Not any more, Purchased by Berts Tackle last year. Saw them at a trade show a couple months ago and they assured me that the Riggers are still the same quality but with a few minor modifications so they can be mounted on the Berts system. All repair parts are still available but it is no longer a trip to Stayner to have them fixed. RED
  23. 100% pass rate so far in my store, you wont have a problem, just don't point the gun at the instructors foot and you will do fine. RED
  24. I can get them, $79 for a Wynchwood pocket rod pod. I am in Orangeville Dan
  25. Just got back, last year we had 6" of ice and that was good ice. This year 21", quads are all but usless because how deep the snow is on the ice, walking almost killed me and my cousin trying to drag the Chapelle out. You will be fine with a sled almost anywhere
