Thanks for the reply. As the boat I will be looking at will not be new, Around which year would be newer tech vs the old? 2002? 2008? 2010? I would love to get one with a 4 str yammie but that may not be in the cards.

So...I sold my '93 boat earlier this spring because I thought I would not be able to use it with the birth of my boy. (I also have a 3 yr old) Now that it is gone, I miss it!. My wife, being the amazing lady that she is, has doubled our budget for a 'new to me' ride. My question is: When did the 2 strokes become more on par with the 4 strokes? I have read/added to a thread about a boat that was waiting an engine, the dealer made an offer for a 115 2 stroke vs a 4 stroke 90 which the customer had ordered. With the varying opinions, I am a little confused. The research I have done does not give a time frame of the catch up in tech, but says that the new 2's are not the 2's of old. They are better on gas, less oil used, less emissions, less expensive repairs, more reliable..... As the boat I am looking for will be a previously enjoyed model, any info will be much appreciated

Being from the dealer/manu standpoint, what are your .02c? It is always nice to have a balanced opinion. -

Have you contacted Princecraft directly? This issue happens all the time with almost every product you can imagine, from bathtubs, to weedeaters! The dealer is the middle man in this situation, and would like nothing more than a satisfied customer. A happy customer will tell maybe 5-10% of the people who ask how great of a dealer they were. An unhappy customer will tell EVERYONE how bad they were. They are trying to make it right by offering an alternative to get you going. The dealer will have very little wiggle room to help out with the freebies and add-ons. Where as the manufacturer can eat a lot more and cost them less. IMHO, contact customer care and retention at Princecraft and hammer something out. -
That hook was on there from last yr. It was a Hurry up and throw in a worm to calm the excited kids down. We ended up changing it out after the bait caught the bait.

It is usually hard to get a firm price from a supplier for one as they sell them directly to the contracor. I bought one for a buddy of mine, and it was I think $900 for a 1 ton, mid efficiency. He had to get the installation done by an HVAC guy. Saved some cash this way. A place that may sell them to you in the GTA would be: Ridler Heating and Cooling Supply. They sell Ducane.

On Sunday afternoon, I was finally able to take my daughter fishing... We ended up going to Heber downs with a friend and his 3yr old son. It was hot, sticky and a blast. We walk up the the pond and watch the beavers swim around, giggles and smiles from the kids. We set up, get the worms on the hooks and we start fishing. My daughter was the only one to catch anything, but it was alot of fun. Trying to teach a 3yr old patience is not exactly easy....as soon as the bobber would 'wiggle' in comes the line as fast as possible. It was a great time, and I hope to go again soon with her. Here is her mighty catch thanks for all of the ideas of where to go that would be kid friendly and not oo busy. J

I was thinking of that, just was not sure if the docks were off limits, or if it was private property

I am unfamiliar with local spots, but I really want to take my 3.5 yr old daughter fishing after dinner some nights. We live in the Rouge valley area of Pickering, so i am looking for something close where she can throw a line out from her 2' Dora the explorer rod. Just a hook, worm and a float. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks J

I'll preface this by being a home theatre junkie....on a budget. Cable will depend on the providor. They will send the signal in either 720p or 1080i. P = Progressive, meaning that ALL lines of the signal will be displayed on the screen at once. I = Interlaced, meaning that the information is being broadcast as 2 images, but flickering so fast it looks like a solid pic. For a 1080P television, the pixels are 1920 x 1080. Just like a fishfinder, Go with the best resolution you can get. your TV's software will 'enhance' the pic. If you have a Bluray player, get a 1080P. The pic on these is amazing. Try the BBC Earth series. Also, do not forget the HDMI cables.(monoprice.com) least expensive place by far, and good quality.

Looks like a dragonfly larvae. Used to see them all the time growing up. Just like the pic, and as empty husks on the dock after they clImbed out of the water and 'hatched'

There is a Groupon right now for the Four Points by Sheraton for $105. -
Try an End of the Roll type of store. They usually will have closeouts and you can save quite a bit.

Reim is the real deal. I am a HUGE Leafs fan but my oppinion is not based on the usual Bull that goes with the start of every season. Reim's background speaks volumes on his play. I have never seen such an elite athlete so grounded. He was the best goalie in last years ttraining camp, proved his worth with last years second half performance, 20 - 8 - 2. and is picking up where he left off. The difference this year he has a more cohesive defence in front of him. (Pic was taken from Brian Burkes private box. Thank you A.M.640 for the thrill of a lifetime)
