  1. Heading up to Algonquin to cannisbay as well! Not sure where to fish yet may just try the lake at the campground seeing as it's close and will be with my son.
  2. Sorry folks judging from a couple replies this issue has been beaten to death already.
  3. Hey all just wanted to hear everyone's take on the cormorants in Ontario. I live in Niagara Falls where the Niagara Parkway that stretches from Fort Erie to Niagara on the Lake is being devastated by these birds. Here in Niagara we rely on the beauty of the Parkway to bring in tourists, and at the current rate there won't be much left of it if something is not done soon. Now I'm not suggesting to re introduce DDT but I feel something has to be done. How have these birds affected your areas and any ideas how to deal with this issue? Bill
  4. Good for u buddy. It took me 33 years to do that!!

  8. Hey all, my first post ever other than putting I my two cents here and there. So headed out with friends on lake Ontario yesterday looking to hit some bows and salmon. Put in a good 7 hr shift boating four fish but they were beauties. One bow and 3 kings, by far the biggest fish I've landed or even seen (other than on this site)!!! Pretty excited myself so I thought I'd share. Have pics but don't know how to Post them. I'm operating on an I phone and want to show pics! Any ideas?? Bill

  11. Not sure of exact locations but friends have a cottage on tamiskaming and hit small creeks and hammer the specks. U should have no problem with walleye (even blue ones!!!) on the big lake. Fished it a few times and have t had a bad day out there. Bill
  12. Gotta go with speckles and muskie. Been trying for the specks for five years now!!!!!
  13. Fishin niagara. Went out with Dennis the other day and caught some beauties. He gave us a great price and we stayed out for almost 8 hrs. He can be found thru google search. Bill
  14. We had a great spring this year out there. Many smaller walleye which in my opinion indicates the slot regulations are working. But the first nations must realise that if they want this fishery to thrive they need to drop the "we're entitled to" approach as well. Please don't take what I post as a slam but we all need to do our part.
  15. Hate em. They are reeking havoc everywhere they colonize. Any chance the ministry will open a season on them?
  16. Awesome report. Gotta love the orange flesh of the lakers. I'd love to have that fishery in my back yard yet I'm stuck with Erie and the upper niagara!!!! Lol
  17. Thanks guys for the replies. Once I get set up with a laptop I will be using that for sure. But for time being I'll give the desktop site a shot. Thanks again, bill
