Hello everyone, was just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a reflector oven. I live in the gta and am having a hard time finding one. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

Pretty straight forward.

Welcome...fairly new myself and enjoying every minute of it. I'm sure you will too! Bill

Hey Dana felt the same way about pike. However, with everyone I clean I'm getting better at it and am rather enjoying the feast the provide. Lots of meat and quite tasty. Just feel bad for the ones I massacred while learning!

My bad guys just read garry2rs post and answered my last question. Braid wraps around fluorocarbon. Thank Bill

Wow thanks for the quick replies guys! Just one more question, with the albright knot, when they speak of the heavier line are they talking strength of the line or the line with the larger diameter? Thanks Bill

I guys just wanted to know what you would use to connect braided to flour leader. Was thinking about just using swivel to join the two but have been reading up on double uni knots. Just wondering the strength and if this is the only way to join the two. I recently switched over to braid (going to try It out for first time next week) and don't want to lose fish to inferior knots. Thanks Bill

I know we have never chatted, however, I had addiction problems in past and understand where you are coming from. I would like to commend you on your decision to leave the sport. I wish you and family best of luck. Bill

Thanks for the speedy replies!! Appreciate the tips. Hopefully we'll do well and I'll finally be able to post some pics, if I can figure out how to do that! Not very computer savvy. Anyway, thanks again. Bill

Hey all, just a quick question. Am heading to Mattagami Lake next week for some pickeral/pike fishing. Have been reading up on fall fishing for pickeral and sounds like the bite can be slow. any idea's ? what's my best option this time of year? I have aquired a wide range of tail dancers and worm harnesses. i usually fish for them early season (opener) and here and there thru the summer months. do you think that given the time of year, they could still be in summer mode? bill

Killarney Provincial Park Trip
Pickeral eater replied to MichaelAngelo's topic in General Discussion
Not sure the fishing is all that good there, then again there are many lakes. I know the waters in the park contain a specific mineral creating very clear waters and little to no fish can survive. Not sure if every lake is affected. Killarney is more of a paddling park. Good luck anyway! Bill -
Welcome! I myself am new and received a warm welcome as well. I'm pretty new to the sport and am picking up lots of info from other members. Tonnes of knowledge, experience and tips on this site. Enjoy Bill

That is indeed horrible. I live in the gta and see this on a daily basis. One can only shake their head and wonder what, if anything, is going thru their heads during this senseless act. I am avid outdoorsman who loves the peace and beauty of nature. On more than one occasion I have stumbled upon make shift dumps in our provincial parks from some lazy camper not wanting to pack out what they pack in. Im not sure how some people can go to enjoy the pleasures if nature whether it's fishing or canoeing and destroy it at the same time. I can only hope to come across one of these sub humans in the act. There is no excuse for littering period. Bill

Have heard same thing that plastics don't work, however, started throwing raps and had lots of success once I found fish using worms. Doesn't hurt to try something new
