To each's own, Personally I don't mind him.,As we speak I'm watching his former partner. Now That is a whole different topic if you believe what you hear,lol.

If you think about it,with a upscale reel with nice bearings,why wouldn't that work on 13'6" rod or whatever length?. That's the type of reel I use 3/4 of the year.

I hear you,but when a fellow makes 50 times plus more than I do fishing,I tend to listen a little bit,if you know what I mean. He's doing something right, Right? I might add more than 280 days a year,I would think he might know a little bit more than you and I. Just saying.

Recently saw a show where Italo was using one. Recommended a shift type bait caster,Worked wonders from What I saw of the show. Not sure of the advantages of a shift type bait casting reel.

With one swivel above the float I would think you loose a float/shot/hook a few times. Unless your tying a smaller lb leader below.

WFN,is a favorite for me as well. American fly guide on at 7pm. I don't believe I've seen this show.Will have to check it out.

Mine are the 3 barrel. Almost a micro.lol..I'm getting out again tomorrow,still not enough.

Last year I bought the Mustad micro swivels. Very small as it says. Line never twists. I use it as a joiner from the main line to the fluro leader on a float set up. Jb's put me on to them.

You can watch one channel while taping a different channel.

Oh it's there,as others mentioned take the hose and stretch it out a bit ,that will give you the area to check.In my experience,starboard side,when in the drivers seat you can look back and see if any water is coming out. These replies should get you in the ball park.Don't drill a new hole!!.
