Looks like quite a project. Do you have a plan as to how to build the reinforcing to replace the middle tank seat? If it works out you will have a nice boat with a bow platform and storage.

He should see a doctor about that.

No doubt we have changed the face of the earth forever. We have to realize that humans are contributing to the destruction of our home. To not think we are not doing so is simply ignorant. The earth goes through changes, we are contributing due to our numbers and the way we want to live. The world is over populated and we keep on expanding. Does anyone remember one of the ideals from the 60's and early 70's? "Zero" population growth. Perhaps we will all do Mother Earth a big favour and go over the cliff like lemmings. Oh wait! We are heading there now but fail to realize it. Oh yeah, I remember the fear of the approaching ice age too. Sometimes scientists can be wrong. If we are lucky the ones that feel we are the cause of global warming might be wrong too. Better off to look at all we can do to reverse the damage done. Even if I or we don't like it.

Was past there yesterday morning and noticed that there was still ice in the harbour, on the other side of the QEW, not on the lake side.

CRAP! Now I gotta go and change my underwear! One scary catfish!

Yes I do believe that was the one Jon. How to post and access the "secret" pond reports. But I see that all the replies to it are deleted. The ongoing controversy must have been too strong.

Not on everything! Some products are marked up 10% or less. HD makes their money on the way they invest their suppliers money while they are holding onto it for 60 to 90 days. Hd is fine for a do it yourselfer and then that is what you get, a do it yourself application. And it's not fair to slam HD or any other firm that makes a bit of a mark up on the cost of an installer, they are taking on the responsibility of the installation along with the coordination of it all. If you want a good quality installation of cabinets, windows, doors or other products search out a reputable local contractor. Don't cheap out by going to a handyman type of character or a fly by night guy. (In the window biz these are known as "hook and ladder" guys.) Ask your friends, neighbours and relatives for referrals, check the BBB and ask questions!

I use minnows, not all the time but on occasion. The left overs go to the roadside or in some cases I have returned the live ones to the shop where I bought them. Whether the owner has put them into a separate tank to observe them for later resale or put them aside to return them to their original home is his choice. I have kept them alive for the next day. I tried to keep them for future trips a week or so later but discovered that it wasn't worth my while. Wayne is right, it is illegal to dump live minnows into a different body of water, a very important rule that I don't think many have noticed.

I can't remember the outcome Daplumma, but it was interesting reading I can't even remember who originated it? Better left as a memory I guess.

Glad to learn that you found your ideal boat. Be careful out there. Any boat can be a danger in rough water, a 12' can be really dangerous. Keep looking over your shoulder for whatever may be coming at you and don't push your luck too far. Stay off the larger waters and always plan an escape back to port. I have had some scary situations, some very close to the launch. Even 1 - 2' waves or a wake can cause concern when in a small boat. I wish you many happy hours of fishing.

I hope you don't think I feel sorry for you!!! I need to loose 135 pounds!!!!

Does anyone remember a similar thread about these ponds? It was started maybe last summer? There was a lot of trouble stirred up because a member wanted people to post the results with pictures and locations when they gave the ponds a try.

I was sitting in my boat at the end of Hamilton Harbour, near the entrance to Cootes Paradise and eating a piece of left over pizza from the night before. I pulled my line in and hooked up a piece of pepperoni. Tossed it in along side the bulrushes and pulled in a really nice catfish about 2 feet long. Never caught anything since on pepperoni though. Wife said she read about, or saw it on TV that they use Spam.

Then why not a centre console? Don't know about Lund but I think Crestliner, Lowe and PolarKraft make a model or two. Shouldn't be a leaning problem with them.

Ra pala. So how do you pronounce Nissan? Nea san or Ni ssan with a soft "I"? But then I go back a long way and still prefer to call them Datsun. OMG! It's 4:50 AM and I'm debating a rediculous topic...wish I could sleep.

I'd have to put an addition on the garage to house it.

I don't know Steve I thought that there was a quick way to start a poll here. But right now I can't find it.

Just make sure that you are within the boat's weight load capacity. A small 10 or 12' boat cannot carry much weight! Here are the specs for the 10' Bass Pro Jon Boat Length 10' Beam 45" Transom Height 15" Bottom Width 32" Max. Recommended HP 3 HP Max. Person Capacity 2 Persons Max. Person Weight 314 Lbs. Max. Weight Capacity 354 Lbs. Hull Material 0.043 5052 Marine Alloy Weight (approx.) 80 Lbs.

Maybe a pole could be started Steve? I do use live bait, not every time I go fishing, but about 30% to 50% of the time. There is always a container of worms on hand too, but this is not about squirmy things.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just don't become angry with him if it doesn't pan out as planned. After all you would have fished his creek and that you can be greatfull for.

Did you check the OFC classified? I saw a nice folding 12' boat there that might fill your needs perfectly. Easy to store and transport, worth considering, right Irishfield? Or you can buy a new 12' reasonable at Riverside Marina, Dunnville. OK, maybe I should edit this reply. I just checked the classified and didn't see Wayne's boat advertised. Was I dreaming that his boat is for sale or perhaps he posted it in the forum? The search continues...

Click here for game Click here for the show's web site We enjoy the show at our house, I'm sure there are a few on OFC that like it too. The game is a time waster, but what the hey? I got called a jackass everytime!

Geesh!!! You guys are a bunch of brainiacs! I kinda feel like Hank on the TV show "Corner Gas." I had a hard time trying to beat the clock on some of them and failed to answer on time. I faired in the average group of people.

I'm too unlucky with fishing, I would starve to death! So I'd have to win the lottery to do it, as if that is ever going to happen!

Not everybody likes the same movie, very true. As Terry said, "Same old, same old." Pretty much sums the show up with both quotes. There is more than one reason that these type of shows are held this time of year, cabin fever! That and it also gives dealers and manufacturers a jump start on the season. I thought about going several times, but figured I'd rather save the money and spend it locally at my resident tackle shops.
