Had a custom cover on my last boat made from Top Gun. Very durable and never treated it with any water proofing. If you decide to waterproof it ask the person who makes it if it is advisable to do so. I found that yes it was breathable and if any water was in the boat, not talkng about gallons of water, it would evaporate through the material. Never had vents in it and never had mould issues. If the weather was cold it would become stiffer but was still managable and had no problems. The colour was dark green and it did change a little in the first season sitting on a paved driveway in the sun from dawn to dusk. Top Gun has my vote.

No stocked trout? -
Hard boiled eggs are convienient. When we used to camp my wife would boil up a dozen for the trip. Pretty handy to have and why not? Pick up a package of that precooked bacon (never tried it) and instant breakfast allowing you more time on the water.

Years ago I was told how to fish for musky. Pretty much just the same as your asking about. He said you tie a line to a cedar shingle and rig your fishing line up to a live mouse, he would tie several hooks onto a rig on the mouse and then float it out onto the water, pull the line tied to the shingle from under the mouse and let it swim. BAM musky on! Not endorsing this or ever tried it, never wanted to fish this way. Cruel? Don't know, it's a mouse, you decide for yourself. Guess at one time in our past this was common although these days someone would call the SPCA on you. I would rather throw a rubber mouse if one at all.

Gotta love shopping in Canada......NOT!

I have compared prices on different items on both sides of the border and found that we do have a closer price structure than in the past and in fact some items are cheaper here, not many but some. I have seen some with a 10 - 15% price difference which I can understand but when it's greater than that I just have to wonder why. Back around Christmas/New Years I found out that a rubber transitional motor mount bushing was torn apart on my Ford 500. The bushing cannot be replaced, the entire bracket has to be replaced and only available from Ford. The price in Canada, $438, the price in the States $260 !!!!! What! Couldn't get over it so I bought it in Niagara Falls. That was just too much for me to comprehend. -
That would be a concern if fishing inland lakes. Like to see someone tell that to the cptn on an Erie trawler. They scoop up all without any thoughts and the guy catching a few gets smacked for not catching and releasing a few females. Fishermen/ladies barely make a dent on Erie's populations.

Here's a real hairbrained idea that would demand attention. Biggest problem is that it would never come together. The entire country unites and everybody in industry, retail, construction, trades, services all of us except for those who are in emergency services does not buy anything at all, all stay home emptying the roads and highways by calling a 2 or 3 day strike. Nothing happens, nothing moves, no stores are open, not one restaurant fries a burger, no money changes hands. It would definately get the point across. I don't think that 2 days of missed pay will bankrupt most people, it may pinch you but it won't kill you and the politicians as well as industry leaders will have to wake up it and will hurt them more than the us. Told you it was a wild and crazy idea. And all we have to do is make one call and complain we can't work because we're all sick in bed with "Gas Pains!" -
My son tore his ACL a year and a half ago? Was scheduled for surgery to rebuild it but had to cancel. He just got his re-booked surgery for this July. He has had constant serious pain everyday and has slowed down a little not playing Bball too often but has still been "selectively" active, training others, coaching etc.

Good one!

...only posting because someone here may want a new canoe at a good price. I was in the Canadian Tire store at the Centre Mall in Hamilton just a short while ago and was strolling through the fishing department. Looked up at the several canoes they were displaying balanced upside down from the aisle racks and there was a 14.5 foot green Pelican with 2 molded seats reduced from $699, to a lower price, then again to a lower price then again to a new lower price and then down to $379.99!! If anyone can use an inexpensive canoe you have a chance to grab one there.

Me too, saw them when I was coming home from the store down the street and thought "Hey look at the neat looking stars"
-
They should lock anyone up who would do such a thing to any mint classic car or truck. There are many junkers around where a person of such a devious nature could start from scratch. A total waste of a thing of beauty, no matter what is done to it now it has been destroyed. Such a pitty.

Had an Ugly Stike Lite, it did break, actually the reel seat broke. I liked it and caught quite a few walleye, bass and perch with it. Some day I might get another. For those that say Ugly Sticks are too bulky or heavy should have a look at the "Lite" version.

Hey! When did Lake Ontario become a State? Now afer saying that I'm off to read the link....

Same here. Fortunately the vcr is in the rec room and there is also a tv in the living room. We can record through the tv even if the tv gets shut off but I can no longer set the vcr program in advance for timer recording. as the callender on it doesn't go beyond 2011. If I want to use the timer then I'll have to figure out which year the dates line up with 2012 and I haven't looked that up yet.

Looks like a good choice, wonder if that weight is for a long or short shaft with electric start? If it is then for sure, as this can add a few extra pounds. Also an electric start, although nice does unfortunatly add even more weight because of the battery. Buddy put a Honda 40 on his boat last year, sweet motor.

Thanks for pointing that out Bigugli. I tried Google again and added Scotiabank Centre and got this: PDF Brochure Fishing Show And this: right here And This too... better link

No they aren't. Some yes, Johnson 2005 2 stroke is a 2 cyl. as are many others. I believe Mercs are also 2 cyl. OMC did at one time have a 3 cyl 25 hp motor and I think Suzuki did too.
-
If the motor manufacturer you are considering makes a 25 then put a 25 on it. If they don't, but only make a 20 then go for that. The 15, like was said is OK if you are constantly taking it off, but I wouldn't do that, especially if it's a 4 stroke. Put a masterlock motor lock on the clamps and bolt it in through the transom and put one of those locking bolts in. You won't regret going for the larger option.

Ya! What's up with that eh? So much talk not too long ago about BPS coming to the waterfront and then nothing
-
Have to agree with ya there Dave, and that's from one who works for the yanks. If BPS closes up the mall can contact this outfit for a replacement
