  1. I will go with the pledge but i am pretty sure that we have to do more than report the poachers to the declining authorities... Maybe show them what life like a fish is like, maybe put them in the water and try to snag em with i dont know 8 rods between two people...
  2. You have use of the water though... That includes fishing, access is a different story. If you access the lake by lawful means (public launck) you are ok but when you begin to have no legal means of accessing a waterbody without trespassing this is when you get in trouble, and will look like a fool with a piece of paper saying you can be on the water but basically have to parachute into it and somehow be picked up...
  3. I would have posted it in your topic but didn't for two reasons 1) This relates mainly to rivers, and 2) I kinda didn't see your post but the second isnt really that important of course...
  4. Alright well I was very interested in the previous discussion and wanted to find out some answers myself. The ones I got have alot of interpretation with them, and regard mostly rivers and river beds but, this is the answer I got from the MNR... The ownership of a bed of a waterway frequently depends on the question of navigability under the Beds of Navigable Waters Act. Under this Act, the bed of a watercourse that is concluded to be navigable, is owned by the Crown. This Act however does not define navigability; the test of navigability can only be legally determined by a court. Past court cases have established in part, that: a) navigability also means floatable in the sense that it is capable of floating logs for example, a river may be navigable over part of its course and not over other parts, c) a river is not necessarily navigable if it is used for purposes that do not require transportation along the river, e.g., fishing, d) navigability need not be continuous but may fluctuate with the seasons, e) where it is necessary to assert ownership, navigability must be determined as of the date of the original Crown grant, and, f) the location on the waterway should be assessed between two public access points. I was glad to get the Information and hopefully it helps with some of your questions, it did with mine... Bill
  5. Welcome to the board... its definately the best one on the net...Hope you enjoy
  6. nope... Didnt ask about a musky but was talking to my bro about musky... maybe that was it... I said we dint need musky cause we got a 47" the year before nor did we need bass cause we had caught comparable ones and lastly we didnt need Walleye wayse of the BOQ and the ones we have been able to pull out. This only left one option... The big rainbow...wouldn't even fit into the creeks where i catch mine... In there 20" is a big bow...
  7. hehe no one said it yet so I will.... Holy mackerel thats alot of fish and a great report... WTG and looks like it was an enjoyed trip
  8. Ok... I gotcha... I was getting my picture taken while I was there and thought you looked familiar. I was with my little brother and one of my buddies ( the tall skinny guy) We all had camo hats of, If that helps and for your reference I was the one with the Max-4 DU hat... Would have said hi but i didnt know if i actually knew you... Kind of awkward saying "Hi, do I know you from somewhere" But thats ok now I do know what you look like so if i see you out Or somewhere I will say Hi... Either way, glad to see you actually ended up with your picture
  9. Hold on... Did the people at the Picture booth loose your picture a bunch of times? If so I did see you there...
  10. Unfortunately i would like to add that making specialized regulations would be impossible considering the massive amounts of rivers and lakes, and the reducing and already minimal MNR budget... If anything the rules WILL get more general and broad in the future
  11. I am just wondering... How many hours does it take to do something that size, and whatever other factors there may be... Really nice though I can believe it took not only a pile of time but just as much dedication and hard work...
  12. wouldnt want that jumping out at me on a card... couldn't help it But yea it does have a cool effect
  13. Nice report... Thats definately one huge perch and nice whitie too...
  14. Hmmm... that is 100 mil that could go to some much better use... Maybe low income family housing, and as mentioned, food and clothing for the needy... Or stick it into the MNR so we can have some more of our great CO's...
  15. Nice fish man... WTG...Thats some nice gold hes got on him too...
  16. Probably 30+ in burlington... Some places with drifts metre+ and others less snow...
  17. As for an auger I would go with The Fin-Bore III... I use it and it cuts through the ice like butter...
  18. Still Coming down really hard here in burlington... Gonna be white outhere in the morning
  19. Hey all... This weather has caused many places to close down tonight as well as tomorrow morning... So before you head out somewhere you may want to call em to see if theyre open or even better stay home and avoid accidents... I know for those who may be wondering many schoolboards have closed there schools in both hamilton and halton... probably other places as well but just mentioning it to you... Everyone enjoy the weather but be careful out there...
  20. LOL... Nice joke... Little humor is always a good thing
  21. Some people really have problems and shouldn't be in society... Hard to believe someone could get off like that but I guess there is too little that can be done. The worst part is they were all (if i am not mistaken) female and in their early teens... Sicko's who should have something worse than just being put in jail... maybe some hard labour, and the hourly pineapple up the... Cant believe people can be so hateful and disgusting.
  22. i dont know about a Jumla..??? but unfortunataly Homolka is a person... and a dirtbag of one at that... Responsable for several particularily unpleasant murders, one extremely close to my own home, and got off with little punishment because she brought forth evidence locking up Bernardo... that was before they got more evidence proving she was a major player in the horrific crime...
  23. We are getting some in burlington now... making its way over to oakville/missisauga/Toronto... Any in those areas yet?
  24. People have problems dont they... Especially Homolka... Who would even have anything to do with such a lowly piece of scum, nevermind being the father of ITS child...
  25. Thats some scary news... Hopefully it can somehow be overcome
