  1. Just think, you guys almost had Clarkson too.
  2. If the cop doesn't show up; the ticket will be dismissed. If he does, you may be able to plead guilty to a lesser charge and fewer or no points.
  3. French accent? He's been there for quite a few years now.
  4. Maybe build a few these while waiting for some safer ice. https://www.facebook.com/corey.blank.79/videos/10155239077990156/
  5. If they owned it for a while then it was probably grandfathered. My parents had their cottage insured without WETT certification. But when they sold the place it required WETT cert. in order for the new owners to be able to insure it.
  6. Taxes on energy would be collected by the province or federal governments. It is a city government (who doesn't get any tax from energy anyway) that is trying to regulate the wood burning stoves. Smoke from the wood, not taxes, is the reason for these regulations.
  7. The TRCA and other agencies are currently planning work on the water front between Highland Creek and Bluffers Park. One of the considerations is a launch at East Point Park. They are currently considering a launch for non-motorized boats that has a drop off but no parking near the launch. There would be parking at the top of the bluff so you could drop off a canoe or kayak by the water and park on top. A marina on the scale of Bluffers Park was considered but apparently there is enough demand for boat docking to justify the construction of a marina. I think that they may have neglected to consider boat launching when studding the case for a marina. Bluffer may have available slips but I have been unable to launch my boat there at time because the lots were full. If enough people express interest we may be able to get an actual boat launch with parking in the east end of Scarborough They are still accepting input if there are things you would like to see happen. 8. The way I read that sentense is that it will only give accurate readings if the inside temperature is between 40 to 100 F. If that is the case then you should be fine. Your hut would most likely be in that range when you are fishing with the heater on. If it was 30 below the night before you arrive you may not get accurate reading for the first few minutes. But it shouldn't take a heater too long to get the temperate over 40 F. If the cold actually damages the unit; that is a different story. But I don't think that is the case. If it was, they would need to ship them in temperature controlled trucks.
  9. I always thought that there were three types of people. Those who can count, and those who can't.
  10. Licensing the architecture is not the same as re-packaging the product. Licensing the architecture would be paying royalties to manufacture your product based on the licencer's designs. They may or may not be manufactured to the same quality standards. Re-packaging the product would be purchasing a product already manufactured my someone one else and selling it under your own brand. These may also be a different quality. E.g. NVIDIA could make a lower quality version of their product to be sold by someone else under a different brand name.
  11. In addition to that there are different levels of processors. Intel makes Celeron, Pentium, and Xeon. They are not all the same.
  12. A Scotty Universal Sounder Mount may be an option as well. http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=scotty+universal+sounder+mount

Jays lose a fan favourite. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/baseball/so-long-kawasaki-why-blue-jays-fans-will-miss-a-mediocreinfielder-somuch/article28316845/ If you like Vikings series and baseball; this will be of interest. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/josh-donaldson-set-for-cameo-on--vikings--tv-show-203335222.html
  14. A good CEO at that price is a bargain. One who was previously fired for spending irregularities... not so much.
  15. JOKE OF THE DAY It was raining hard and a big puddle had formed in front of the little Irish pub. An old man stood beside the puddle holding a stick with a string on the end and jiggled it up and down in the water. A curious gentleman asked what he was doing. 'Fishing,' replied the old man. 'Poor old bugger' thought the gentleman, so he invited the old man to have a drink in the pub. Feeling he should start some conversation while they were sipping their whiskey, the gentleman asked, 'And how many have you caught today?' 'You're the eighth.'
  16. I never claimed that there isn't room for improvement. I was just wondering why you are expecting the Chinook runs on the Credit to disappear altogether. Or, at least that is what you wrote in your 10:48 AM post. As long as the MNR stocks the Credit, I would expect to see returns on the Credit. No doubt, there could be better returns if the fish were given access to more of the river.
  17. Regardless of how poor the stocking practices are, the current practices have resulted in continued returns of Chinook on the Credit. If they continue with the current practices then I would expect to see continued returns of Chinook on the Credit. They may very well be missing an opportunity to have far better returns; but I don't see any reason for the existing returns to disappear. They may actually see an improvement in the returns if the wild Ganny strain of Chinooks (which will be stocked on the Bronte & Credit) provide better returns than the put & take from the Credit.
  18. Why would the Chinook disappear from the Credit? The MNR is continuing to stock the river.
  19. Only a small percentage of the eggs are being collected on the Ganny. The bulk of the collection is done on the Credit. The Ganny eggs add some genetic diversity, earlier spawning fish, and wild fish to the population. I doubt that they will ever stock the river with Chinooks. The MNR has recently increased Chinook stocking from a target of 540,000 per year to 600,000 per year. They are also modifying the brown trout stocking program in order to improve the fishery and are considering adding an additional river for coho stocking (The MEA manages the coho program; but we require MNR approval). So I don't agree that other species are taking a back seat to the Atlantics.
  20. Great idea. Much more practical than a Snowbear.
  21. Atlantics are not the reason that Chinooks & bows are not allowed above the dam.
  22. Here is some info on the topic https://porthope.civicweb.net/FileStorage/CC292493967141DFA46832F7CBFFF6F8-Delegation%20Jan%2019%2015%20Nat%20Resources%20re%20Ganaraska%20Ri.pdf
  23. You may qualify for a rebate from the manufacturer if you pay cash. If they are offering financing deals such as 1.49% over 7 years (Toyota was offering this recently) then you may be eligible for a manufacturer's rebate in lieu taking the deal on the financing. If you have the cash then you are probably better off taking the rebate. If you have your own financing set up you can still get the cash rebate. I doubt that the dealer would offer you a discount for paying cash. They don't get any benefit from a cash save versus a financed deal. In fact, they probably get a commission on any car loans they can sell. If you are a new driver then I would recommend that you definitely talk to your insurance provider and make sure you know what your premiums will be.
  24. It may be a pretty short season in Yellowknife if you aren't willing to fish in minus 40 or below.
  25. I would suggest that you contact your insurance provider. There can be a big difference for insurance rates between vehicles. My wifes insurance increased by about $1,000 a year when she switch from a minivan to a car.
