  1. I think its full name is Solely Outdoors; as in their sole purpose is to sell outdoor gear. Here's their website: http://www.solelyoutdoors.com/
  2. I was driving up Woodbine Ave and noticed that a new tackle store has moved into the old LeBarons location. Solely is the store name. I dropped in, they carry both fishing and hunting gear. They are expecting to have their grand opening next month, but they are now open to the public. They do have some deals on right now.
  3. They don't reproduce. Hybrids in general don't often reproduce. Tiger trout are triploid hybrids, so they are even less likely to reproduce.
  4. Who helped you move? The people near the house you were leaving? Or, the ones near the place you were going? Jusk asking...
  5. So that's their problem. The seats are empty because the tickets are not free. Would people even want them if they were?
  6. You would need waders (not breathables) to get in the water and net the fish. There are other tasks on land that can be done without waders.
  7. The collection is at Streetsville. The dam is on private property. I am sure that it was always private property even if it wasn't enforced for marked. The plant next to the dam owns the property. It was a subsidiary of Kraft, it may have changed hands.
  8. Those interested in volunteering this Sunday can email Bruce Burt at [email protected] to add their name to the list. The collection occurs on private property so they need a list of who will be there.
  9. Sad news for Blue Jay fans. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/roy-halladay-killed-plane-crash-age-40-211714002.html
  10. Metro East Anglers would like to invite all its volunteers to join in its annual Coho Egg Collection on the Credit River this Sunday, November 12th. This is a great opportunity to get hands on with these beautiful spawning salmon that are waiting for us below the fish ladder. We will need crews of able bodied individuals for electrofishing, transport of fish from the river up to staging area and assistance with spawning. We would greatly appeciate individuals able to attend to let us know, so we can add your name to the access list. https://www.facebook.com/events/1413789665400747/
  11. There are only so many fish available for stocking. If they are spread the around the entire lake then they would be too spread out to create any fishery of note. By putting them in one spot, they can create a local fishery. Despite it's reputation, Hamilton Harbour does have good habitat to support walleye reproduction. Going forward, they will stock Toronto in odd numbered years (100,000 in 2017) and Hamilton in even numbered years. Perhaps they will eventually establish fisheries around the lake.
  12. I think they all are. From what I understand, Legend does not build any boat hulls. I think they do add some of the trim on boats.
  13. Hmmm, and what non-fishing stuff left her satisfied?
  14. Doesn't work that way. Some will wash out, some will be deposited on land. Many of the rivers in BC receive 90% of their nutrients from the dead salmon. This wouldn't happen if they got washed out every time in rained.
  15. Anyone who fishes the inner harbour may find this interesting. http://www.joecressy.com/waterfront_sanitary_servicing_master_plan_public_information_event
  16. So they're going to knock Ottawa out of the playoffs and appear in the conference finals... four times? That may take more than one year...
  17. Ice fishing Expo in Barrie in December... https://www.facebook.com/Canadianicefishingexpo/photos/a.1048638685242630.1073741828.1047018698737962/1273783566061473/?type=3&theater&ifg=1
  18. Re: '"When you look, there's dead salmon everywhere. There's just dead fish everywhere. It was horrible."' All of the salmon are going to die. Killing some for the eggs doesn't actually increase the number of dead salmon in the rivers. I am not saying that it is okay to slit them open and leave them there, just that there will be just as many dead salmon along the river whether or not the practice continues.
  19. I caught one while trolling with a Risto Rap.
  20. I had good experience with Northland Paving. They are in Scarborough.
  21. Using mono line may help.
  22. Yeah, on those older Rapalas, the loop that you tie to and all of the loops where the hooks are attached are just one piece of wire running all the way along the bottom and part way along the top.
  23. :rofl2: :rofl2: "best player on the planet"??? :rofl2: :rofl2: We can always count on you to keep us entertained.
  24. Fin clipping studies from about five to ten years ago indicate that there was approximately a 50/50 split between hatchery and wild fish in Lake Ontario. I don't have stats on individual rivers. There would be large differences from one river to another.
